2 hands - 4 fingers. Depends on the song though, sometimes I use indexs/one hand.

I play two fingers.
Arch does of course, so does Reach sometimes. A lot of people play that way.

I have no idea how volkov would do caprice with 2 fingers. You have to keep double stepping....

Anyway i can use pretty much any setup. I use 1 hand and my index's most often, but on harder songs i sometimes use a few extra fingers.....maybe some toes too xD

You can do almost any song, with two fingers if you keep to this pattern : LRLRLRLRLRLRLRLRLR

over and over, and tha means, LEFT HAND, RIGHT HAND, etc...

It's not too hard, try it, I can AAA anything over 200bpm 16th notes, pretty much first try...

I tried with two hands but i just cant do it... i use 3 fingers and i can do quite a few songs pretty good

yeah but there's a lot of songs where you'd end up with your hands crossed doing that...

ok on stepmania..when u do good on a song (full combo), you get an A as your grade after u completed the song. if you do a full combo without a low number of greats, u get an AA...if u do a full combo with no greats, alot of marvelous, and maybe a few perfects, u get an AAA. there ya go. no flame here. i stopped doing that.

Well, I use one hand always.....well most of the time. Two hands seem a little wack to me, but I think you need to use two hands on songs like Flight Of the Bumble Bee. I dont know what those people use but i use one hand.

lol, i think that masturbating with one hand is harder actually, although i do have a kinda messed up arrangement of fingering...i suppose whatever you feel comfortable with you will always do the best with that one (this doesn't apply to songs like Ice climber, which i fc daily)

in ddr-
AAA- all perfects
AA-all perfects and greats
A- mostly perfects and greats
i dont quite know how they transfer into ffr since there are no greats

It doesn't work on turns or spins.

Even if you use the number pad, you would still hae to like....jump over your own fingers....which you can't. So you have to double step

Which is like LLRRLLRR which gets very hard to do quickly.

the best technique is to masturbate to the beat of the song and play with 1 hand :O
