Ok. So it boots up fine, and it reads the CD, and it wants you to press a button so it can run the CD? Well, your problem is probably the PS2 slot. Some motherboards won't run without passing the keyboard check. Now, that's built right into the motherboard, so I don't know if you can fix that. If you did get the keyboard to work, it seems like you have a corrupt boot sector. Which is easy to fix, either be re-installing windows or just doing it from the windows recovery console off of the CD.
So, either try a few different keyboards, or see if you can somehow get it to recognize the USB mouse. Other than that, getting a new comp would be the solution. Although I realize that's unrealistic for you. |

My grandma hit the lottery and bougt a new computer, she got tired of this old one, im getting this old one, thanks for the help though... Mod's please lock this thread now
