Interesting song, it actually does have a really good guitar solo. Its interesting, i havent been on these forums in over like 6 months, but the same people are here (more or less) saying almost the same things. In any case, its good to be back.

You see, emotions aren't just being "sad" or "happy". It's how you deeply feel, your mood, thoughts, actions. If you start composing something, but you feel it sounds not like your mood or your thoughs, you will scarp that melody and start again. Bands like Dream Theater or Opeth (which I'm not a fan, by the way) aim for something fast and impressive, because they can. Same for let's say Beethoven. Ever heard Moonlight Sonata's 3rd movement? It's crazy fast, yet full of emotion. Same goes for tech. metal.

Oh wow! Like a concept album makes them so ****ing cool. Metro part.II is indeed awesome but liking them purely because they did a concept album is retarded. Hell in that case go check out Pain of Salvation, I don't think they've done a non-concept album.
