Default Windows Media Player 11 Beta

Anyone downloaded this yet? It's kind of a let down. Just WMP10 with a makeover, so it's not going to make any Winamp people want to switch to WMP.

But it's an extremely good makeover, I might add. Maybe because I love black and blue.

Screenies:

Consumes about the same amount of memory as Winamp.

I realize that WMP11 is only a beta, but the two flaws I've found so far are kind of annoying.

1: It likes to randomly exit out. It's happened twice so far.

2: After the installation finished, it said something along the lines of "Windows Media Player failed to install", even though it's here and my start menu and working.

Whee, it exited out again just now.

So yeah, I'm going to wait for the official version comes out, because I can't stand the exiting out.

Whee, another exit-out.

Edit: Oh, and it doesn't want to add my entire music folder to the library.

I actually use both, I use Windows Media Player to rip cds and winamp for everything else! The new version is alot more organized and theres a repeat button!

I still hate Winamp as it's an AOL subsidary, so I still use WMP. I sincerely hope they clean it up as about 90% of free media players out there are much better... they just don't work with Last.FM.

Wait, did you mean WMP doesn't work with Last.FM? Because actually it does!

He means the other media players don't work with Last.fm.

I think that WMP, Winamp and iTunes are the only ones that can use Audioscrobbler.

And trixster, WMP10 does have a repeat button. It's in the bottom right next to the song time.

I've been using WMP for my scrobbling since day one. I hate iYunes because it's bloatware and I only have it for my iPod. I hate Winamp because AOL took it over.

I'm just hoping new versions of WMP are faster and have better tagging.

Well, looks like I'm not using this.

"You must have SP2 installed to use this"

Why? I don't get it. I don't want to "upgrade" to your piece of crap. There's barely a difference between SP1 and SP2 in terms of code. So why can't they do it.

Because I like this cover better than the official one. SGX gave out the other covers people made on his website.

And your BTSB has one less track? That's strange because if you bought yours you should have one more track than me, because I just downloaded them off of the site.

Anyways, I eventually system restored back to before I installed WMP11 because the closing outs were too frequent and got extremely annoying.
