Hookers and Blow

Well, all I can say after beating the game is WHOA. I'm a little peeved at all the people who died in the game (one person's death made me cry towards the end), but the final battles with Organization XIII satisfied me except the battle with Mr. Gambler (that's what I call him.) Serioulsy, I died 7 times trying to beat him. Then came the final boss fight. IMO, I think it was dragged too long. 5 TIMES. I have to fight 5 times in a row to end the game? Bull****.
Anyways, the end reveals all about Roxas and Namine and all that jazz. PS: Snapps, WTF is your sig man? Seriously, when I see stuff like that it makes me sick.

~Moogy's KH2 FAQ~
1. Mash X. 2. Occasionally hit Triangle. 3. Maybe use an item now and then. 4. Watch the pretty, pointless cutscenes. 5. Repeat. |

Isn't it gr8 8)
KH1 had the plot plus a large story, not huge. KH2 follows from KH1, has a somewhat large story, yet lacks something large that was in KH1. It might be the time spent playing the game and beating it. |

I beat it in like 15 hours. It's not that short, but it's not very long either.

the speedrunner guys were in the 10 hour range their 1st time through. I wonder whether it'll get down under the 7 hour mark. *shrugs*.
I never played KH1, and only saw Whorli play a tiny bit, but it seemed like it had SOME semblance of side-quests and hidden items. KH2 seems completely linear.... nothing is hidden, and while there are a few worlds that you on'y have to go to once instead of twice, and there are 2 areas that are optional, EVERYTHING is out in the open and there are 0 side quests. That just seems way too simple, even for Disney standards. The mashing X is one thing, the lack of any sort of deviation is another thing completely.

Tass you didn't get all the torn pages for Winnie The Pooh did you?
![]() Or did you know that doing some worlds twice is OPTIONAL? (Lion King, Little Mermaid, Tron, etc.) There are many side quests to do, but you are so engrossed in the main game, you won't be trying to do side quests until way after you beat th game.

Considering I'm only...19 hours? Maybe? into the worlds...we haven't had TIME yet to get all the pages. And yes, obviously some of the worlds are optional. They're fun though!

Chromer... I pointed out clearly that there were 2 optional worlds (Pooh and Ariel) and I pointed out that some worlds were optional the 2nd time through. You just repeated what I said.
There are no side quests WITHIN the worlds... I don't consider entire worlds side quests. They are too obvious and out in the open. Yes, you can go for a 100%. That still isn't a side quest. That just makes you play the game longer while still going along the same path. I'm used to PC RPGs like Baldur's Gate or Wizardry 8 that has so many optional quests and ways in which the player can influence the game that you could play the game 500 times and each one would be different.

Lack of big sidequests was rather dissapointing. Not even any big hidden bosses like Kurt Zisa and Phantom from KH1.
KH(3) had better be a little less straight forward. That shooting that lasts 30 sec. that the last boss did was rather annoying. I didn't know you had to press X as well as triangle at first. Ariel's world's minigames sometimes had no beat. You could never really tell what you were supposed to hit to. |

Atlantica needs to die. That was the worst waste of time in KH2. It was the second worst waste of time in the first one (behind 100 Acre Wood). 100 Acre Wood was actually kind of (dare I say it) fun in KH2.
Glaxaeus, if you want to be really technical, KH2 was actually KH3, after Chain of Memories (which, though I enjoyed as a fan, wasn't too spectacular). A good chunk of the story in-between is in there (like A LOT of Organization XIII members that you don't get to see otherwise =P). But, not to confuse those who didn't get the GBA game, it was named KH2.

IIRC, all of Pooh's pages are in really obvious spots too. Like, sitting right next to OMG UBER AMAZINGLY IMPORTANT THINGS.

That was my point Mead... with my statement of "obvious and out in the open".

I didn't mind "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," and even "Ursula's Revenge" at all, but "Swim This Way" and whatever the other one was almost made my ears bleed. They were painful enough to play once, let alone TWICE, to fulfill Jiminy Objectives. I found it funny that Donald wanted to keep singing right before Sora closed the keyhole. Glad I was done with it for good =/

That bubble thing in Atlantica was really random. When it was sealed and all. I like how if you missed something, somethings wouldn't happen. On the last song, only 2 of the 3 shells opened at the beginning. Last edited by glaexeaus; 05-2-2006 at 06:06 PM.. |
