Erm...Squaresoft???
ok, I am currently making(and almost done), a stepfile to a final fantasy song... Now, I was wondering if a song from final fantasy(squaresoft) would have to have permission to get on... I'm not sure since we already have a final fantasy song on there, and i didnt know if their permission would also cover any more of their songs... thanks

lol dude u probably just wasted a whole lotta time making that stepfile, if you didn't get permission from square beforehand. luckily you're not dealing with, say, disney where you practically need to be a multibillionare to get ahold of their stuff, but you should probably write them or something...Synth'll have to write them for permission, and who knows? we might get lucky. But with their new games coming out and all, they might be a little protective of ur stuff. Whatever.

I think Synth has a lot to put on but I could easily be mistaken. I hope the Shop all fills at one time with a bunch of new songs lol mayhem on the high score lists.

About the song, ok...the song is called Dollet Battle Theme... and it is from FF8... www.geocities.com/billsstorager/dollettheme.mp3 ... heres a link, but its geocities, so i hope all of ya exceed the data transfer... anyhows, i have a good portion of the stepfile made, its not too chalenging, but i love alot of the FF songs... That is why i am making a stepfile to it... thanks to synth for writing to them... get back to me about their answer(or their silence...lol) ... Hope ya like it!
~Bill *EDITED* Be sure to copy and paste the link to have it work, geoshitties...what a joke...( Although, I dont bother to buy space...lol) |

ok, I finished the dwi stepfile for it... Now I wanna find a good FF* pic for the bg(of course this is assuming that synth will put it on, and also assuming that square soft will let us...)...If anyone has ideas, post them here with links...I'm not sure if i can take pics from the forum, but if you can just post it in the post... Thanks to all...

So, what programs do you use to make/test stepfiles with? I'd be interested in making a few, even if only for my own personal enjoyment (as they would would not likely be to songs that would be very easy to get a license for).

You guys need to get old school and start playing the best final fantasy ever, ff6. I mean, god damn. If I was worthy I'd remix the stuff myself, but it is hard to remix perfection.

yea, i never got into the older FF's ...i played most of them for at least an hour, then stopped... It seems that the older the games are the harder they are...lol... and about what i use... I use DWI, and make my stepfiles in notepad....lol, it gets long and drawn out, but if you know music and rythm, then it isnt so hard...

I have heard that final fantasy 6 is the same as final fantasy 3... any confirmation on this? I have heard this from many people, and i check a site for FF6 music and all they have up to is 3... Unless ff6 was for super nintendo, or somethihng else other than nintendo...
