a low post count makes you a newb, it doesn't make you a n00b
once we get to know you the newb status should be and is lifted. |

Amazing, these "newbie" subjects never seem to get old to you people.

Some people post more than others...like me, for one. I don't post that much...but when I do, I usually try to say something meaningful and avoid one-sentence posts.
But in my mind, it's hard not to consider anyone with under 100 posts not to be a newb. |

Newb, n00b, whatever, all mean whatever you want them to mean. Generally it comes as an insult, rather than just refering to someone who is new to something.
I usually think of the term not as someone who is new, but someone who asks stupid, blatantly obvious questions, and generally acts in a childish manner. I have a low post count, but I wouldn't consider myself a newbie, I just like to lurk and I pretty much only post when I really feel that I have something beneficial to say, and not just random crap to get my post count up.
