My first stepfile!
So I got really bored yesterday...and this is what happened hehe
The song is "Calling You" by Aqua. There are light/med/heavy steps so it's fun for everyone! I worked pretty hard to get stuff as on beat as possible. There's like 2 arrows that don't really seem on beat but I've been too lazy to change, but other than that it seems pretty good to me =) If you find any arrows that are really bad, let me know...I've played it a bunch of times since I finished it though and I haven't spotted any besides those mentioned above. Anyways I'll stfu now and give you the link: www.angelfire.com/yt3/megaman/Calling_You.zip Oh yeah, the background (and hosting of the file) is courtesy of Saritor (who doesn't post on the forums but he plays FFR...heh) |

I like all of it quite a bit, but there that... I think it's like... 16th, 16th, 16th, 32nd, 32nd, 16th, 16th or something... it feels either that the timing of notes are of, or the spacing is off... can't quite tell.

yeah, that section is really sketchy... if I get highly motivated again I may slow the music down and try to get that section perfect... I used 12ths and 24ths, which is why the timing is soooo weird.
edit: just listened to it with the sync helper thingie (you know where it claps on each arrow) and I hear where it's off beat... gonna be really tricky/annoying to fix throughout the whole song hehe |

OH MY GOD
I just went through the whole song and fixed all the off beat stuff as best I could (it was a TON better...) and then fucking stepmania didn't save the changes even though I clearly told it to save. =\ This is like the 10th time this has happned to me and I don't know wtf is causing it =( I'm too freaking tired to fix the steps again, so bleh. Hopefully I feel like doing it tomorrow. I also did a stepfile for another Aqua song today (hooray for putting off homework ) which I may post if my friend does a background for it. edit: ok wow forget what I just said...I thought it didn't save when I went back in to the editor to check if it saved...but it actually did...I'm gonna go lay on my bed and close my eyes now k? |

To save a file in the new alpha of SM ("Now with fucked up edit mode!"), save it, go back into the file, go out and then play it. That always saves the steps for me.

Happens to me all the time. So save it, play it a bit more, change a note or so, save, save, save, change another note, save, save, save, save, save... should work then.

yay, updated steps are uploaded now =)
Same url, enjoy! I'm gonna go over the sync'ing of another song I did sometime in the next couple days then I'll upload that one too (it's an easier song so I'm pretty sure it's on-beat, but I'll just make sure for you all =) )
