Re: Rewinds first file!
Bump because no one gave feedback.
It was very good for a first file. Great song selection. Amazing song. I'll have to play it again to see if I can pick out any specific flaws, because I don't remember it too well. I just remember that the jump and freeze usage got a bit sketchy at times, but other times it was great. This is absolutely worth the download for the song though, and the file isn't half bad, either. Is this just your first released file, or really your first file you've ever made? It's really, really good for a first file. |

Re: Rewinds first file!
Pardon my ignorance, but what is Bonkers? If it has music like that song, then I'd like to know as much as possible.
I played the file more recently now. Aside from iffy freeze and jump usage, I think I remember some parts that weren't done correctly. There were some 8th notes resting on the 16th beats (yellow arrow syndrome) when it was actually synced to the quarter notes, IIRC. I still think this file is pretty cool, especially for a first file. Oh, and I played heavy this time. The patterns do not resemble anything near index friendly. For a song to be index friendly, you want to be able to play it with indexes and have no double-taps =P Of course, jacks and a moderate amount of midstream jumps aren't factors. This is mostly dealing with stream patterns. You might want to test out some index and try this for yourself. |

Re: Rewinds first file!
And sorry for my ignorance right now, but bonkers is a serious of electronic cd's from europe pretty much. They made 1-15 and i have 10-15. Probably the best music i ever heard concidering that i listen to it everyday as well. Back to my file, i do know there is cross over stream and i do know about the yellow arrow syndrome. I forgot to change the beat offset, and i kept wondering why the notes were yellow. But i figured it out now, my next file shud be a lot better than this.

Re: Rewinds first file!
Heavy does not have crossover streams. Crossovers are completely index friendly, albeit a bit tough to react to and are considered biased in extremely fast streams. What you have in heavy is a lot of spins, turns, and just old Exige-style patterns. Needs work, but I'm sure you'll get better.
EDIT: Oh, and the 24ths in oni are a bit BS. I forgot about that one. Doesn't really matter though, because stepping them out accurately would've made the file dumb. Now I'ma go look up information about Bonkers. EDIT2: Just noticed something. It would've been who of you to step out the entire song. Although it seems like it would be boring, the ending sequence has some neat little patterns, and is a vital part of the song itself. Last edited by dAnceguy117; 03-25-2006 at 11:26 AM.. |

Re: Rewinds first file!
Bonkers makes some pretty good songs. I got some of their music. Hate their Take On Me remix though.
