Bandit, I'm glad you are one of the few Assassins/Hermits who have a clue about star:money ratios.

Tobis are the most cost-efficient stars anyone can use. 4 Tobis cost about 1 Steely. Steelies are 2 more attack. So, we have 4800 Tobis to 1200 Steelies. Really the only problem with Tobis is that you can end up having too many stars. But since you seem to enjoy spending so much on this game, you probably bought a slot expansion for USE anyway.

You'll need that many stars for Shadow Partner anyway =D

Squeek: When star prices were stable (tobis 2.9-3 million, icicles 700-750k, kumbis 300-350k), I had various amounts of tobis depending on when I needed money. I had like 4 tobi, 4 icicle, 6 kumbi. I kept adding tobi until I had around 8. At the time, I did not need the money. Thus I was able to spend it on tobi. Finally when I felt I did need money for a fury (although I did get it a bit too early, level 77, and it only became a +4 from a 1 above), I only sold my icicles and kumbis and then borrowed the money, which I gave back the next day after selling my 40 atk slain. I didn't lose money on stars. Right after the fury, Pat and I bought 4 more tobi, THEN prices went down drastically on all stars. Oni bought us a tobi to make it 13 tobis, since we gave him nep honey.

However, since the mid 50s, I'd try to keep around 2 to 2 1/2 hours worth of stars for zombies. I've had tobis since my 40s; but, since star prices were stable, I could buy and sell for the same price (or even make 100k). Plus back then, I didn't need an assload of stars. I figured idle money was wasted money, which it is, in a stable market, and on something you can easily sell back for the same price or slightly more.

I've never thrown a steelie in my life.

I want to start on getting them once the star prices are stable again. It'll be similar to the icicle/kumbi -> tobi conversion, although this one will take a lot longer.

I always look at how much it costs per attack. I refuse to spend 78 million more to convert my tobis to steelies for an extra 2 atk, when I can get a 48 atk fury for an extra 40 million, which is an extra 5 atk. I've been constantly comparing cost to atk.

I still use the standard key set up and it hasn't killed me yet... I'll post an SS later, but I plan to have my buff skills on s d f g (sa, booster, puppet, warrior pots??) and I have my ds on shift, attack on control, and I'm going to have attacking skills on xcvb and space (arrow blow, arrow rain, fire shot, hawk??? arrow bomb). It has worked well for me, and I think I"m going to use it until I quit ms. Swimmning is fucking tiring, so I am playing a lot less overall and doing more of my hw...

I'm fairly sure most of us don't use the default key setups. The worst that has happened to me is when I'm teleporting and then go to hit esc and change channels. Apparently alt+esc = minimize. But any time I'm gonna change channels like that I'm safe anyway, so it's all good.

In other news, some level 23(?) archer showed up at Jetis yesterday and I showed him around. It was pretty funny, cuz he didn't realize you could die from the cold and died twice from standing around. I gave him soup and was showing him Y&P and stuff just for fun, and he didn't get up on the rope like I told him so when the Yeti smashed the ground he instantly died. It was hilarious and fun. xD

Well, I used over 500k on scrolls and only 4 worked. Too bad. I don't really care actually, I've always thought money was made to be spent, and I don't see the use of having 1millions at lvl 40 when I just bought my equipment. I still have 10 levels to make a fortune.
