It should be easier for one handed players...

I also play one handed, and the way i do them is press left with my right index, down with my thumb, right with my ring, and up with my middle. Try using the number keys.
Practice spins on dot death. Just get a rolling motion going and youll get used to it.

I'm new, but I've found it simple to go two handed, especially for the doubles (left and right or up and down etc.)
I put my left middle on the left key, the left index on the down key, right index on the up, and right middle on the right.
