Fingering

THIS IS NOT ABOUT SEX.

Actually its about my playing style. I play with 1 hand 3 fingers and I thought about how incredibly hard and strenous and wet and hard it is to hit [ arrows that go from side to side or that go up and down ] real quick.

So I thought of switching over when those patterns appear from 3 fingers to 2.

Why don't I just play 2 fingers? Because it would look cooler.

Whaddya think?

Anybody else already do this?

[are they called jacks?]

Yea I've done that before. But not the same as you. On really hard songs I switch from 1 hand 3 fingers to 2 hands 4 fingers (Left hand middle finger and right hand index, middle, and finger left to your pinky XD).

jacks are the same note repeated twice right after each other. as in, down-down real fast. what you're thinking of is probably a gallop, or just notes that are too fast for your playing style.

i use 2 fingers in my fingering.

I think he's talking about a trill (back and forth real fast)
gotta get a good fingering for that. 2 Fingers works real well. Except I use 4, its hard when I have to use the same hand ones, but I'm getting better.

Which is where one-handed fails. Up-down sixteenth trills end up being mashing 2/8 eighths if the BPM is too high. To remedy this, I move my index to 2 for them, which makes things easier.

You have to find the right fingering for you.
Otherwise, you'll never be able to finger the key fast enough to get to those perfect moments

Or in the case of SM
those marvelous/ridiculous moments

So remember, practice your fingerings. You can practice on your palm, or on the desk even.
Just keep fingering away, until you can get it that high moment, the peak of AAAment

Keep fingering Tokzic. Even with one hand, its possible to get to that peak performance

Well, when I played one-handed(I play 2 handed now) for the fast up-down trills, I would turn my hand to the side at an angle so that I could hit the keys faster. You look extremely stupid when you play because you are constantly moving your hand to get into the right position to hit the keys... That's how I did it at least...

Your trill skills definitely improve with 1 hand, it just takes time, it was 3 months since I took spread and only semi recently I am able to hold fast streams(especially left hand), like Quasar, almost FCed it, 505 combo Delirium. Remember, you won't get good over night or even few weeks. Just have to keep hammering away and you will see fruits of your fun labor* ;p
