Shakespeare,
Please shut up. No one cares about your opinions whatsoever. Don't think you can just be this immature toddler trolling around thinking that you're all that and that the regulars here will just bow down to you. Some of us are more talkative than a lot of the other people. The problem with n00bs is that they go around doing their business like a monkey urinating on newspaper. Example: notorious. He goes around replying to old topics with stupid questions. If you saw that your siblings were dancing around the house naked, wouldn't you have authority over them to shut the phuck up and get dressed? This is the system and if you can't fit in, you lose. Period. |

Damn guys, you are a little harsh.
But everytime I skim through and look at posts, its always the same people. You guys deserve the right to lay down the rules mainly because...well, you're the only ones posting here. |

ok the reason i've goten cheesed at newbs is because they ask the question about the store that has been answered countless times.
Shakespear you need to pull the stick outta ur ass and calm donw. you to yoshi no one wants to hear about ur fatasies with old people. and moogy... do something productive. i've got nothing for you sorry. Stereo don't be afraid im quite sure that if you keep posting the wa you did here ur not gonna be flamed or anything Ghost WTF????!?!?!?!??!! and last but not least the person that made this thread you bring up good points, but newbs will alway be treated this way until they get smart and not try to be all high and mighty and know wen to not ask stupid questions. there are the few select that know hat right off the bat and admit that they are newbs and get over it. but they know what to do and what not to do. annoing peple is what not to do. no one likes being annoyed. and i think im done |

I say that it doesn't matter how many posts you have, but how much respect you have.
Here's my definitions... N00b: Someone who has no idea what they're doing, and has little or no respect for anyone, and little or no respect is given to them. If people on the forum respect you, you aren't a n00b. Newbie: Someone who is new to the boards. Usually around 1 or 2 months. It's possible to be a newbie, but not a n00b, and it's possible to be a n00b, but not a newbie. I mean, here, I have 0.7 posts per day. 33 posts. At the other forum I go to, I have 11 posts per day, and 3224 posts. I have a lot of respect there, even though I came in having no idea what I was doing. I changed my ways, and now I'm a mod there. So, what I'm trying to say is, just because they might be idiots now, doesn't mean they can't change.

anybody else here just hate the word "n00b" to begin with? Something about the way it looks and sounds, just... eww. (somewhat random and off topic, but that's what forums are for)
and dontcareaboutmyid... good points all. what people have to realize is that the internet is full of people who get their jollies by just pissing other people off. It's insanely stupid and immature, but that's what happens. You just gotta learn to ignore them and hope they shrivel up and die under a rock somewhere. |

Ok, from somebody new to this, the new people don't seem to like posting. Without that, you just have a lot of people just playing to pass some time. I know that this is one of my first posts, so although I started a just a little while ago, I don't feel new. That is probably because this is still in Beta testing.
It seems like credits are way too easy those easier levels you can spend a bit of time and get 8-12 credits easy. If we really wanted to make them feel new, we should make a perfect game on a level 4 give like only 3 credits. Those new people see that to buy something in the store is 70 credits max and they can get that in a few games. They feel like experts right in the beginning. Credits need to be more scarce, and as you get higher in levels, the max amout of credits you can get in one game rises. I just think that they feel like they are so good that they can go into a forum and poeple will listen. If you did make credits more scare could make their credits speak for them. You could put limits on forums. (To enter this forum, you must have accumulated 100 credits) You also have to keep a total on how many credits were accumulated, cause when you buy a song (when it happens) your credit amount should go down, but your total credits accumulated should stay, that way buying songs doesn't stop you from going in the high credit limit forum you go to. |

Congratulations! Your post has nothing to do with anything!
Oh, and dontcareaboutmyid, I don't know what something productive is. Therefore, I post on the FFR boards all day. |

Where the hell did that come from? Also, you should know that a lot (I'd say most) of the topics discussed on this forum have nothing to do with FFR. Playing it, getting credits, whatever. To be honest, I don't even play FFR (I did, before I found SM)
FFR credits don't (and shouldn't) determine the amount of respect on a forum. Really, it's only three different criteria !) How many posts/how long you've been on the forum 2) Whether or not you act like an idiot 3) How good you are at Stepmania |

Actually, one really shouldn't count for getting respect. Only two and three are good. Becuase if one actually is used to tell people that's how you get respect, alot of postwhoring will happen. :/
The basis of respect is how you act and respect others, if you act like a compelte idiot and don't respect shit, of course peopel are gonna yell at you n00b or whatever, no matter how long you've been in the forums or how much your posts. Or you could just make your first post, but as long as you hold respect for people you get respect back. Oh yea, and you have to be good at Stepmania. :P

Eep... I just realized my post count. I must look like a n00b myself, but I've been playing for about a year. I just don't post much at all. And it's nice to see I've started my first flame war, I feel so proud.
Anyway... To sum it all up: N00bs tend to be stupid, but that's because they're new. So, enlighten them, and welcome them to the world of FFR. But, if they start acting like they are the supreme kicker of the collective ass of the world, they can be flamed to hell for all I care. |

N00bs are not actually people, their just a name given to certain name and groups of people who display flagrant stupidity, and ignorance.
