I am moving Oslo, Norway
Not really, but I really wanna go there. Badly. It is now my absolute dream to go there for a month. Why?
Because I did some research and found out Frode Berge isn't the only person that lives in Oslo and does awesome electronic jazz grooves. Turns out that Oslo is a freaking gold mine for everything I love about DnB beats, synthesizer vibes, and the beautiful blend improvisational jazz can make with IDM. These links speak for themselves: Awesome. Extra-Awesome. I actually went and listened to some of the people on this giant list. They ALL rock. See, Oslo stuff is popular. Or....at least as popular as a freemason-like subculture based on a nonmainstream music genre can get, anyways. See, I know I'm the only one who gives a crap about this, and I'm cool with that. What worries me is that sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who will EVER give a crap. Ah well. I wanted to post this because I'm all excited about it. When I get rich, I'm headed to a jazz club in Oslo, man. P.S. M-M-M-MONSTER KILL |

Ugress ( http://www.ugress.com/ ) is Norwegian too, albeit from Bergen. And he's way better than any of those schmos. Download Manhattan Sapphire and Decepticons from his site ASAP.

Moogy, you watched Videodrome at too damn young of an age. I blame Videodrome on your wacked-up-yet-superior taste in music.
See, there's bizzare electronic music that's awesome, and there's bizzare electronic music that's just...not awesome. Decepticons and Manhattan Sapphire weren't bad, in fact there was nothing wrong with them. But they wern't fantastic things that I would put on my playlist. THIS is a bizzare electronic song that's awesome. That song is also performed by a Norwegian band. And it's freaking great. |

You're moving the whole city? Make sure not to strain yourself. Remember: lift with your legs, not with your back.

i have a couple friends who have lived in oslo.
funny story actually... me and this kid chris were freinds in germany, for two years until he moved back to maryland, and then right after he left, my friend kevin moved in, and we were really good friends for a year until i moved back to virginia. kevin lived in germany for a few more years, and then moved straight to oslo, where shortly thereafter, chris moved as well, where they became friends. so now we're all back in the states, and we'll hang out on occasion, go snowboarding etc, but it's really weird how it happened.

P.S. Kilga, if you want the job, I can have you be my personal "you skipped a word" assistant. I'm not trying to be mean or sarcastic or anything, I really need to stop skipping words. |
