This way I become increasingly more subconsciously aware of my center of gravity, and I can utilize that to my advantage by positioning my body before certain runs.

Because, of course, being able to balance on your head helps you dance.

I've had a few embarassing DDR moments, none too big. I've failed on my first song a couple of times, which always sucks, especially in front of a crowd. I've slipped and fallen off of the machine a couple of times, but usually get back up quick enough to not fail. It's not been enough to get me mad, or anything. I laugh it off and keep playing.

heh, easily my most embarrassing moment...

I was playing R3 for the first time, a couple weeks after I watched a guy do the entire song facing backwards, do the bar jump and everything....anyway, I decide to try the bar jump....I come up short in terms of height, smack my legs off the bar (no, no damage done), and fell backwards....I couldn't get up in time, I had to play the song through the bar....hah

mine is when i was playing at home w/ a friend. me... trying to show off went to do a knee drop and broke my pad... shattered the plastic at the top. cut me up, couldnt play for about 2 days, and my pad broke... duct tape fixes many things tho ^_^

lol i love doin knee drops! i dint break my pad, but i think i broke my knee... >_> anyways, just recently I was playing home version(extreme) and got 30 heavy songs done and only got "B's" on each... I go to do LOM and becuz I was sooo tired, I did the splits on a double 0.0 that hurt SO BAD! my friends all laffed but I just crawled outa the way and let sum1 else play.

i was at this one arcade with my friend, and we were trying to do tricks on the dynamite rave on light. well, you know those motorcycle games in arcades where you have to tilt it to turn? well they have one of those like right next to the ddr machine. well needless to say, this guy jerked to the right on it and knocked me flat on my face off the machine.

my most embaresing ddr moment was when i was doing max unlimmited on heavy at an arcade i was doing awsome till my girl friend came in and i got so embarrased i fell off of the mat and landed on top of her

i was doing across the nightmare on heavy and in one of the right/downs i overshot and slipped off.. but i jumped back on and finished the song.. Then i played with a friend and I don't know if i was just worn out or what, but somehow I ended up punching him.. I think my brain got confused and moved my hand instead of my foot.. haha, i was so embarassed, he laughed it off but I doubt he'll ever play with me again :P

Well, last year at school I was playing Paranoia Survivor with this other good 7th grader (I was 8th) and during the last crossover part I was going too fast and I kicked him with my back foot. Also, while learning to play So Deep heavy doubles I leaped so far across the pads I fell off the other side. And, uh, with an ankle injury, bar raping light songs.

Well, I got the bonus round on DDR MAX2 and tried to play it... got about half way through and slipped on my pad due to sweat =P it was so gross and funny

Worst DDR moment? Failing Afronova HD with a crowd. Of course, right after that I passed Sakura HD, same crowd, so...

Second-worst DDR moment? Seeded 3rd in a tourney, got nervous and folded hard to 14th seed, walking off the pad in the middle of the last song. Since then I've placed 3rd twice in that annual tournament.

Oh, yeah. Same tourney I was talking about last time, only now in 2004 -- weird grading system. Perf = +5 pt, great = +1 pt, OK = +3 pt...So I get into the semis against the #1 ranked player at the tourney, and I lose by a whole fscking four points. FOUR. One perf instead of a great, or if he'd had one great instead of a perf, and it'd be a tie. One missed step into a perfect and I'd have won. Sigh...

I tried playing DDR at a mall around here, i played Holic and got pissed off cuz i got one miss. Then i started cursing it out and a group of girls came over and started watching me. Trying to impress them, i played Max300 on Heavy, i got to that really long ass stream, and got mad cuz i wasnt hitting anything...Then i got pissed, hit the machine and walked off. They watched me the whole time

Damn, after hearin some of these stories it makes mine look like nothin. When i first tryed to pass maxx 300 on heavy, at white marsh mall, i tryed to show off like i new what i was doing, but i failed in like 10 secs, so everyone who was watchin me just kinda looked at me like i was a dumbass. but now i can pass it. You have to show off your stuff when your good.

I love to get people to watch me as any pro ddr player wants.
