I want to get my little brother (he's 7) started on DDR cause I think it'll help his coordination. However I'm lost as to what songs to start him on. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is no Mario in DDR. You're thinking of FFR :P
Anyways, if you have the max1 home version, I suggest Peace Out on light... It's not so slow that it might look garbled nor so fast that he'd have trouble reading it (135 bpm or something)... It doesn't have any chains of 4th notes as far as I remember (They're all seperated by at least 1 beat), and there's also a few L+R and U+D jumps included. It's not very long, so he won't get tired or bored, and it has a well-defined beat due to the bass in the song. If you're gonna do it at the arcade, basically look for a song with similar properties... Butterfly on light? EDIT: Having him play stepmania or DWI or something first wouldn't hurt either, just so he has some basic reading skills before he actually walks on a pad. |

Ordinary world is in no way in sync with the music (at least on heavy)
God I hate that shit, it's so unnatural to have to do all these (seemingly) unnessecary crossovers just to hit the freeze arrows in the right order... 7-footer my ass =\ |
