Pani Poni Dash!
This show is finally getting some subbing, and boy am I thankful. It's funny in the same wacky vein that FLCL is funny, except it doesn't have any sort of symbolism so you can just sit back and not think about the meaning of anything.
Our main character is Rebecca Miyamoto, an 11-year-old graduate of M.I.T. (apparently the Japanese know of places in the Eastern USA that aren't New York o_O) that's teaching a bunch of Japanese first-graders (a la Mahou Sensei Negima except this class is mixed). Of course, all the important characters are incredibly dysfunctional, as are the teacher and kids in the neighboring class 1-D, who don't get quite as much attention but are equally crazy (Miyuki Sawashiro's character in particular). If you like complete zaniness and 11-year-olds flipping you off, then this is the series for you. Bear in mind only two episodes have been subbed so far though.

This show owns Negima by far.
BY FAR. The randomness exceeds so many other shows of its kind. And I've only seen the first episode. ~Squeek |

RE: Re: RE: Pani Poni Dash!
The fan-ism sounds like Naruto. Soon after another 1000 episodes are out you are gonna say "ZOMG PANI PONI DASH IS SO OVERRATED!!!!" Always happens :P Sorta like Naruto. A friend who bragged about it when it came out now thinks it's overrated. That was before I told him that it was coming on Cartoon Network, too. Just wait for the fansites.......
And of course I didn't see this show. That's why I'm being such a mean little bitch about it :O Oh well, I might if my download speed didnt blow.

RE: Re: RE: Pani Poni Dash!
Naruto is overrated, but I still like it.
Your opinion on how many people like it WILL CHANGE WHEN MORE PEOPLE LIKE IT. Especially if they like it for stupid reasons. Whether or not you like an anime after it becomes widely popular is different. Only the truly ignorant will like an anime until it becomes mainstream. If the story retains interest and still has the same effect on you as it did when you began the series, well then who cares how many other people like it?! If it's good for YOU, then keep watching it! That being said, no amount of mainstreamism or lack thereof can make Kenshin any better than it was. What a terrible show. Same with .hack//SIGN. ~Squeek |

[12:31] <Kilgamayan> The new group that's doing PPD! is doing quite well
[12:32] <Kilgamayan> They're just as knowledgable about all the pop culture references as Oyasumi's Eggplant [12:32] <Kilgamayan> Also PPD! 13 tells you how to make a James Bond Martini >_> [12:35] <Kilgamayan> Oh, and PPD! 12 has Pirupi pi pi pirupirupi on the chalkboard at some point [12:36] <Kilgamayan> Or whatever the exact sequence is
