Steps are mediocre, due to lack of difficulty (which is ok, we always need easier songs for less experienced players) and the song was ok.

Good stepfile, very spot-on for the posted difficulty. I had issues with the overly quiet beginning, but the song is good, the steps are solid, and it's pretty fun. Significantly better quality than some of the more recent Song of the Weeks (e.g. Gradeus), despite the lower difficulty.

Well done. You managed not to make it too redundant in its patterns since the song has the same rhythm in it a lot. And I think people are true n00bs if they found that jack a flaw. Get over it, the song isn't fast enough to make a difference.

I'm normally not a fan of quick doubles at all, but these seemed to flow nicely, to me.
As you can see from my earlier SS, I'm not that good at FFR, so maybe some middle-skill input? Bottom line: I liked the steps and the song. Not my favorite by any means, but I enjoyed playing it. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |

I purchased courage
If only I could do that in real life anyway, about the beginning. If you turn it up there are notes. It's a bunch of cymbol sounds. If you guys think I overdid it, I'll keep that it mind when I make more stepfiles. P.S. Front page still says Gradeus

there's a time for discretion between what you step and what you don't step. It would have been far better just to step the crashes every four (three?) measures until the background became loud enough to do eighths to.

Well, the steps were a little easy but matched perfectly with the song. Dunno. I play with headphones on and motherboard audio... The first couple of steps didn't seem to have any meaning but the rest of the cymbal hits started coming in clearer so no harm no foul.
Song was kinda... well... it was a song. Or something. Sounds like someone was having the secks on top of a keyboard with a sample track playing in the background. Ghet, homo-erotic secks.

interesting >_>
I don't know if its just my headphones or something - but I could hear them >_>. They were also more distinct in the mp3 than in the swf. I'm not sure why. Well whatever, now that I look back they probably should have started with that 2nd cymbol crash (the one with the first jump)

Saying that he overstepped the cymbals at the beginning is a useless opinion. In simfiles all the time (mostly Sharpnel simfiles), when the snare 16ths come in, start really quiet, get loud, and then turn into 32nds, people step them before you can really hear them without straining yourself. Other people wait until you can hear them clearly. Not everyone will do this the same way, so it's pointless to debate.
As for the simfile, I really liked it. The song was great, and I liked the steps. Sure, you can tell it's a first simfile, but it's one of the best first simfiles I have to have ever seen. The jumps got a little wonky, as Snapps pointed out, but it's still done well. Hey, guys. How about we stop bitching about jacks? I know FFR acts all gay and won't let you hit them properly. That's not the simfile maker's fault. Just stop bringing it up. Everyone knows about it. |

Speaking of songs, I doubt the song that I submitted is gonna be made into a sim anytime soon. I sure hope it does though.

But at any rate, sure am looking forward to seeing Chickendude in future sims. It can only get better after the first, right?
