Yea, the amnesia could have been a little more developed and they coulda elaborated on why he has this amnesia and what the weird voice are in his head. But I guess squaresoft either didn't care, or they wanted the player to fill in the blanks.

I have to say that FF7 rox and i can't wait for the sequal and Kingdom Hearts is a very good game also so i can't complain about either one...
