Yeah! Checkpoints aside, you can hang out in thread all 10 days before you trust fall, but otherwise yes. You and one other (hopefully town) remove yourselves from the game. Doing so promptly once you've locked someone town helps in two ways: it gets town that much closer to reverse parity and enable everyone else to refine their reads based off of your town flip and prior interactions.

The game concept isn't mine, but it really hones in on the skills needed to build a "town circle" and both the dangers of doing so and the potential perks. If you can solidly clear someone and be willing to bet town on it, then it makes your PoE that much easier in any given game. In this case, once you clear that person it really comes down to "do I trust my read enough to trust fall with them"
