Tbh I find DBPs behavior baffling. He comes in near eod yesterday very confident. That is not uncommon in games I've played with him. He does some deduction and comes to a conclusion (one I disagreed with but at least I could see why he believed it himself). Then he ended up being wrong. This is also not uncommon and I don't fault him super heavily for being wrong itself (at least before I look into why it happened) because if you are a shot caller you need to be prepared to own your shot right or wrong.

In games in the past he's been wrong and bounced back, maybe a post or 2 as an admission of making a mistake, analyzing what was wrong and moving on.

I have NEVER seen him completely fold over like this after a wrong call. He seemed absolutely devastated and I am sort of at a loss as to what to make of this

Do you have any insight? You said you hate it which I guess I agree with but I want to know what you think is motivating this

Yeah, as you said, the call itself is not even bad. There's nothing "wolfy" about voting out Ben here based on how the game unfolded.

It's just the how that's completely throwing me off here.

If you want to play devil's advocate, the question would be; why would DBP plays this out as town the way he did.

That's probably more a question for DBP than you tbh.

Yeah i don't mind you answering @ your latest post. I'm just trying to make sense of it. I also hate that I have to ask myself if DBPs meltdown was performative. As for why he would play it out like this as town, there isn't much reason. But there also isnt much reason to do it as a wolf unless you are trying to distract from something. It just seemed completely out of left field so that's why I'm wanting to know if I'm missing something about his play style or what he did

I didn't dedicate a ton of time reading his posts, he wasn't really mixed up in what was happening at eod, he was kind of doing his own thing. I think he was right to sus me when he did because I was playing like trash for a while and trying 4d chess moves that don't make much sense, and his progression in that respect was very logical so he gets points there. His entrance reminds me kind of like DBPs, he seemed come out and knew exactly where he wanted to go with his pressure rather than hang out in the thread lost like a lot of other people.

So mix all that together and you have him at somewhat null for me but I feel like there's stuff there to solve when I get the time to look. A lot more than for DBP at least

I think fundamentally we are approaching the game differently Haku but our solving will probably converge as time goes on. Early on I'm much less detail oriented and I operate a lot based on vibes, but reads and reactions. While you seem to be trying to put everyone into groups and do some behavioural analysis on what makes sense for people to do based on what they are saying/what they know.

They are pretty much opposite ends of solving but I don't think either is wrong, and I feel like we both end up consuming thread content and making good reads later in the game when there is less white noise to sift thru.

What I'm trying to say is don't get too stressed out if something happens that you don't understand or feel like you need to solve everything right now

Yo, still catching up on this most recent page of stuff, but I just wanted to say poor raeko man. It's so out of left field that I'm fairly confident someone thought they got a PR read and went for it so I'm sure we can find something like that in her iso. I know I forgot to breadcrumb a little before EoD so I'm interested to see if she left some form of legacy in her near-eod posts.

I also want to just outright say my itinerary this phase, which is to iso raeko immediately, and then from there I want to scope out the wagons. Ben might've also left some legacy breadcrumbs somewhere so I want to take a closer look at what he was cooking (or not cooking since y'all took him out back). After that I should probably organize a reads list cause I haven't done one yet, and then idk this is as far as my current planning goes.

There's some hypocrisy going on here.

It's like we haven't learned to accept that other players can play differently.
Ben is a good example here. It's like he needed to make a plead of not being able to solve due to struggles with identifying wolves or something. I'm not even sure what would have worked here.

It's like every player is a mini game where you need to guess if they're playing their mini game or pretending to rather than playing the same mini game as everyone else.


In a game like this, it's almost like we'd have to sit down together, look at each player and consider this somehow.

To be clear, I have played with bugkid at least a couple of times. So a bit of the reason I ended up leaving a vote there, is that I have in the past had better first impressions of Bug. There are also people in my untrusted pool that I think are less likely to kind of get protected by others if they are showing signs of being town at end of day, so if I'm stuck leaving a d0 vote somewhere without all info that will be available at day end, it seemed safer.

The lack of solveyness concern was about botchi and was a query to bugkid about their botchi read.

i was present for eod, but i was in the process of writing a response plus my vote, when i got distracted by the clusterf that happened at eod.

i was going to vote ben. i was hesitant to cast it because we were at eod and i didnt wanna insta. so many votes were getting put out at that time, i couldnt keep up.

i understand me not voting is a problem. i dont think its that big a problem in this context, because my vote was going to come in so late anyways. still my fault, my bad. i understand i disappointed sundad. my apologies to town


first thoughts: i dont know why sunfan was pushing to vote on me so hard. if i were to flip, what information would u get other than that im town?

and then freezin jumped on that wagon real quick (which he explained), but then sunfan changed his vote last second, presumably to save star from last second wagon and because star has more value in the game alive than ben does( brutal)
