Welcome to the FFR's Frozen Finger Rumble 2!

How to sign up:

In order to be eligible for participation, we highly recommend to at least have 600 games played, with 200 unique songs FULLY played. You are REQUIRED to submit all other rhythm game accounts on the signup form.

If you do not meet these requirements, consider reaching out to Event Staff through the website or Discord Direct Messages. Insufficient information will result in you being placed a division or two higher than normal or not being placed at all- the burden is on you (the participant) to ensure that sufficient information regarding your level of play is provided. Withholding information that has to result in divisional roster changes mid-tournament may result in disqualification at the staff's discretion.

Signups are open until February 13th midnight SERVER TIME.

Your name will not show up on the dashboard until you are placed into a division, so please do not worry if you don't see it right away. We will let everyone know when we have everyone placed.

Overview:

This tournament is scheduled to start on February 13th midnight server time.

Upon registration of the tournament, you will be placed in a list with all other players that have signed up to the tournament, and will be placed accordingly based off of your overall skill and accomplishments in regards to the game, performance in other rhythm games, and relative to the other signups. You will not be signing up for a particular division – your division placement will be handled internally. Keep in mind, there is not a limit to the number of participants in this tournament, or the number of competitors within a given division. The number of divisions in this tournament will be determined based on signups at the high and lower skill ranges. If you play other rhythm games you are REQUIRED to provide links to those online profiles for placements. Failure to do so may result in DISQUALIFICATION.

Elimination format:

Tournament format- 6 rounds, lasting one week, standard elimination, groups to be determined.


Rules:

This tournament will be 6 rounds long, with each round lasting 7 days. Every Group will receive their own song, every round.

If for any reason a score does not record, take a screenshot AND save a replay after you have restored connectivity. That way, we can definitively verify that you did obtain that score. We will not be adding scores without this form of proof.

It goes without saying: CHEATING IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Anyone caught cheating in this tournament will receive a minimum punishment of forum banishment, and will be considered for more severe punishment. As mentioned in the FFR forum rules, using a bot or trainer is grounds for score removal, and other implicit methods of score boosting like account sharing will result in further reprimand. Do not try to circumvent rules with loopholes. You may not use an alternate account in an effort to be put in a lower division. Chances are, if it’s questionable, it shouldn’t be done. In addition to this -- if you have cheated in previous tournaments, we reserve the right to deny your entry in the tournament. Decisions are final, and if you are told that you are not allowed to enter, you are NOT allowed to enter.

Be respectful to everyone involved in the tournament! Arguments with tournament staff or with other users will not be tolerated. Use this time to have a good time with other competitors, and bond in the spirit of competition.

If you happen to have any issues with placements, do not post them in any threads. Instead, send a private message to the Event Staff via FFR, or send us a message on Discord. We will do our best to respond to everyone in regards to everything. Continual disregard of this rule will result in removal from the tournament.


Prizes:

1st place: 300k credits and 3 Event tokens
2nd place: 200k credits and 2 Event tokens
3rd place: 150k credits and 1 Event token
Top 8: 50k credits

Badges will also be awarded based on your Division and Placement.

Q: How do I sign up for this tournament?

Q: How are scores submitted?
A: Scores are submitted automatically to the tournament dashboard. If you want to see how you are doing in regards to your other competitors, click this link: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/tournament

Q: What division am I in?
A: You can see what division you are listed in by checking the tournament dashboard. If you do not see your name in a division but do see your name in the participants list, it is because placements are not up yet. Be patient – placements won’t be finished until just before the start of the tournament.

Q: How will placements be decided?
A: The divisions and the individual people in them will be decided using a variety of factors. These include (but are not limited to): profile statistics for participants (seasonal and lifetime), performance in other related rhythm games, previous tournament performances, and volume of signups at a given skill range. The less information provided to us, the more likely you are to be placed in a division above your actual level of play.

Q: I’ve degraded in skill – can I be in a lower division?
A: Unfortunately, you will not be placed off of your current skill, but rather the skill that is reflected in your level ranks (public and token). Gauging current skill is incredibly risky and can ruin the overall tournament experience, especially if someone improves unexpectedly due to being placed in a lower division for skill degradation. Do your best – each round is 7 days long, and you can accomplish a lot in those 7 days if you try.

Q: When will I receive my prizes?
A: Credit and token prizes will be handed out at the end of the tournament. If you were supposed to receive a prize and have not, send us a Discord message or a FFR Direct Message and we will resolve the issue as soon as possible.

Q: Will there be preview streams?
A: Yes! You'll be able to find us live at 9:00PM (server time) every 7 days on https://www.twitch.tv/officialffr with previews for the rounds. Streams will take place the day before each round ends. The preview stream of the first round will happen on February 12th

Rates will be used prominently, but we are not currently planning to feature MA scoring due to how this was received in previous events

You took issue with your placement. Drummer and I talked about it and decided to be transparent about the placements-

Group 3 didn't have enough players so Drummer and I went down with the knowledge that neither of us are even going to make it to top 8 and don't run the risk of upsetting the tournament. This is why the cut between 3 and 4 is a little fuzzy.

You then proceed to say, and i quote, that you "would expect nothing less from her, shes a cancer on the events team". I'm not sure why you wouldn't expect that to get back to me- correspondence pertaining to the administration of official events almost always happens with me in the loop? But regardless, yes- that is grounds to be pulled from an official event.
