Thanks, but I was hoping for your elaboration regarding the "ew" reaction to Xel voting for Subaru.

I do not mind pressure there anyways but I would have more likely been pressuring bug end of yesterday had I been here. Do you have any opinion on raeko or not really?

-

Unrelatedly, I was wondering if there is any reason to think wolves may have known about the card flip delays early. It was not supposed to have been public until that time, is all I know.

I was referencing his intent to meme vote for raeko, not the vote for Subaru

I guess that leads into the next point, I'm ok with raeko atm.

This nightpost rule is so weird, didn't even read his post correctly about them and having 22 of them lol

Star, you may not know me all too well and the way I play, but I am a serious d0 unenjoyer so getting me to care about a phase that hosts a minuscule amount of relevant information to solving the game is just simply not going to happen. I work with presentable content, not memes and greetings.

Also, I didn't vote at EoD because I simply was not present for the last like half hour of the phase, and I acknowledged I was busy here. I'm a little surprised nobody mentioned the possibility of no-lynch this phase, but I'm not too experienced with the pros/cons of doing that.

---

I like your big welcome back post, but one thing leaves me puzzled and perhaps you can answer; How do you actually make game-related conversations in d0 when everyone has no information to go off of? Are people supposed to immediate point fingers? Discuss roles? I don't understand the request to see more game-relevant conversation that doesn't have negative repercussions associated with it, or leads to wagoning. All you can hope for imo is as many interactions with different people as possible, for interactions that surround the lynch and their flip the next phase.

I keep forgetting I have limited posts, and though I doubt I'll run up against the hard 22 post limit in any night phase, it does kind of go against my posting style

What I forgot to add is I'm curious why people assumed I was defending Subaru when in the context of that post it was more likely to be raeko, because she's the one who actually had posts. It was star and someone else who linked me to Subaru, not sure who it is atm but I'll reread later and find out

I meant to make a post then I fell asleep shortly after phase end. I'm assuming that's what happened to most people or people are just MIA from this game entirely (considering the lack of posts/votes last phase) which would kinda suck

It was Xel who thought you were talking about Subaru

I like Zenith's post here, we share similar feelings about D0. and I like his questioning of star's big post and that he remembered no lynching. It's a bit weird he brings it up now and not before the lynch, though. If you were surprised that no one mentioned the possibility why not mention it yourself?

I also forgot no lynch was possible oops. IDK if I would have advocated for it but yeah definitely should have been a consideration. Didn't even think of it oopies

Last game we had one of the wolves nailed day one (hateandhatred). We were pretty much all voting for him or intending to vote him. but bugkid made a "slip" where they said they rolled "vanilla wolf" when they meant vanilla town lmao. Pretty much everyone acknowledged that it was dumb and probably didn't mean anything, WE VOTED FOR BUG ANYWAY. I switched my vote at the last second to be the killing vote. The wolves ended up winning the game and while there were some other misplays, my misvote of Bug was a major deciding factor in the trajectory of the game. hateandhatred ended up making it to final 3 and winning ;_; I'M SORRY AGAIN BUG

Other than the obvious difference that one has checked the thread and one might not even know the game exists. There isn't much of a difference to me

My opinion on star's big post: for now I like it. I like seeing the effort and having something to respond to. Her reaction to the delayed flip seems genuine

But when I went to read it carefully to pick parts to respond to, other than the direct questions to me I didn't see much else that I could comment on. So it seems a little bit fluffy to me. Since Star is known for long/wordy posts she may have an incentive to write a long post even if she doesn't have many real thoughts on the game. But it's still very early so it could just be that.

Again, my apologies but I was away for the bitter end of EoD which doesn't look good in hindsight after mentioning the inactive lynch on botchi.

Not using this as a defense here but I'm not used to 12 hour phases and I misunderstood what that would be like but now I know a bit better

for full transparency, and this has never happened before in one of my games, I realized that something I made was broken

I have changed how a certain player's role has worked after the game began for integrity reasons.

I have told this player not to mention how their role worked originally, and I do believe that the game can proceed onward without problems.

I do apologize nonetheless for my short-sightedness.

You're so real for that, I'd genuinely forgotten like y'all were talkin about. Despite reading the rules a billion times I still expected the phase to go til ~noon today since it started around then but I'm aware where I went wrong now. I was treatin the timing like a regular TWG.

Normally I'm a d0 enjoyer but I'd had only up to 2 or 3 pages for a while so I tapped out waiting for stuff to come in, then forgot to come back. Never really played a game with night messages like this either, it still is just even more boneless d0 as far as I'm concerned just not the way I thought it'd be.

I've gotta re-read a whole bunch, just wanted to give a sign of life from what I was skimmin on the way here and what jumped out immediately.

Ok I was misreading it as that we would not find out botchi's card until after Night 2 instead of after Night 1, so this is not really as relevant. And would have been much worse

There was hardly anything to read and you guys still did not read it? 😂 That said I will take your word for it. I can see why it would be unexpected

It is true that I do not know you as well as some others. I tend to remember you as being analytical and a bit reserved or perpetually busy. So it stuck out to me slightly that you seemed relatively energetic early in d0 but then at the end came back and seemed so ambivalent.

If what you included in your post is all the time that you had, then it is all the time that you had. It is just, that late in the day the conversation was moving more in the direction of game-related things and you did not really comment on much of anything besides assuming that the 2-vote wagon was going to happen and kind of acquiescing to that.

I also do not like d0, especially in turbos, to be fair. Unfortunately I am not that memey. I also often experience frustration about being in the position of having to make decisions with limited information and then that can get me into spats with people who experience d0 differently. Some things I personally try to do on d0 to try to help advance the game as quickly as possible are:
- Nitpick things a bit that at least seem like they have more potential to be indicative of somebody's alignment than anything else that has happened
- Ask questions to try to obtain more information about people's headspace
- Answer general questions and respond to people in order to try to generate more interactions, especially if they are relatively "game-related"
- Discuss setup-related items and attempt to steer the conversation such that it won't have negative consequences

Looking at it the opposite way, if everybody sits back and is d0 nihilistic, then I think the game is less enjoyable and it helps the wolves. I think collectively there could have been more effort d0 to advance the plot.
