Wrist Pain
I've been pretty inactive for years, but I play a bit from time to time. Usually only easier stuff and only for 20 minutes or so before my wrist begins to hurt. It's a remnant of an old injury unrelated to the game, but nonetheless it keeps me from playing.
(In particular it is the TFC, triangular fibrocartilage complex) I figure there might be some player out there who has struggled with this pain and found a fix. Any ideas? Thank you! |

Re: Wrist Pain
There is no fix other than to take a break and come back to it at a later time or tomorrow
repetition is the key to fixing pains but at the same time, pushing through the pain will worsen everything in the long run, do not do that. |

Re: Wrist Pain
I have nerve damage from an injury unrelated to rhythm gaming, where sometimes my left hand finger doesn't move at all when I tell it to, and when playing spread it caused pain in my hand the more I played. The only way I am able to play without pain is with two fingers (index) because it uses different parts of my arms that don't have these problems. Been playing this way for about 5 years now on my Handpanda account.

Re: Wrist Pain
Ive been struggling with this and havent found a fix tbh. I had to quit due to it because injury is not worth it over a game!
I can play songs up to about 50 with zero issues but anything more brings in the pain after a few songs. The pain will completely go away in about a day and it wont come back unless i play some harder songs again so quitting is really the best thing to do, IMO. Not sure what it is, but ive been pain free since ive stopped playing a few months ago. I can ride my BMX Bike just fine with no issues either which is weird because thats even worse on my wrists when doing tricks and such. lol

Re: Wrist Pain
stretch your wrists often, either after a certain amount of minutes or a certain amount of songs. if necessary, wear a wrist brace when not playing. also drink water

Re: Wrist Pain
I have experienced wrist pain as well, especially in my right hand. But mine is merely an acute pain and will go away after a few hours and some simple exercises will get it back in shape.
I would recommend not to overstrain the injury, and play at your own pace. Do some simple wrist exercises before and after you play, and have fun overall.
