FFR Hall of Fame 2022 - Voting Thread

This thread will be the hub for the voting for the FFR Hall of Fame 2022.

Thank you to everyone who sent in nominations over the last week and a half. 31 nominations were accepted, and from there 12 users have moved on to the final process:

After fiddling around a bit, I realized I didn't need email to be saved in order to limit to only one ballot per user. Sorry about that for the nominations thread.

Voting will run until 11:59 PM server time (9:59 PM for PST, 12:59 AM for EST) on January 26th, 2023.



Unlike prior years, we're changing things up. Going forward, we will have 5 inductees a year to the Hall of Fame, and those inductees will fall under one of two categories: Players and Contributors

You may vote for up to 5 users out of the 12 on the ballot.
The top 5 vote getters will be inducted into the Hall of Fame - and at least 1 of each category will be represented.

Your username is a requirement on the ballot, but your nominations/votes will be anonymous to other users (unless you want to share your nominations). The only people who who will see are the FFR staff running this ballot.



This thread can also be used for discussion over who you may think is worthy, or thoughts in general.

For someone who supposedly hates me a lot, that you would nominate me 6 times for a high FFR honour seems pretty nice of you.

Also I've been passing around a copypasta to support my man Luis' chances so I'll be posting it here:

SO GUYS
Round 2 of the FFR hall of fame voting is on!
Our boy Luis (samurai7694) passed on to the next round!
I decided to do some propaganda for him this year and to present some arguments supporting his case
Please consider voting for him if you haven't voted already!
Here are the main arguments why he should be worthy of your consideration:
As a player he has the incredible achievement of holding the highest AAA ratio ever on the site
He's a several time top 3 finisher in the OT and also a winner
He even has a perfect tournament under his belt
One of only 3 players to do a perfect tournament in the highest division
The other 2 are already in the hall of fame
All this on top of being a generally great dude!
If you agree with this reasoning, please go vote for the man!
And I strongly encourage you to pass the message to other users!

real talk though, im wondering if its really even possible to do a perfect tournament these days? Like now if you start AAA'ing all of the files in a lower division, goldstinger will probably just bump you up to the next division, and getting a perfect tournament in D8 probably isn't possible cause..... uhhhhhhhhhhh look at the stuff thats being put out now for D8.

No of course I understand that, but that shouldn't take away from what the achievement was at the time.

The only thing it does is that we obviously aren't supposed to shit on top of current players for not doing it, and if they did, it would be an achievement of a completely different scale.
