according to my grandma who would have been 91 this year, yes

We had our family reunions at their house, and she would always order a "Johnny on the Spot" so that people wouldn't have to go inside their house to use the bathroom. Idk if this was the name of an old port-a-potty rental company or just her nickname for it

I've always known Johnny-on-the-spot to be someone who is always there and ready to go. Usually in sports is how I hear it, but yeah.

I can kind of get the port-a-potty idea though as I've heard toilets referred to as "the john" before.

Where I am I've heard porta potties be referred to as "johnny-o's" so I'mma say maybe? I've never heard anyone outside of my family call them that though so I have n o idea
