Google
Lately Google has been getting more and more proprietary and less and less personal. I started using Google about 5 years ago, and it was good search engine. It peaked about a year ago (in my opinion), but lately I've realized it sucks. I'm not getting the quality of results I was a year ago. I've been getting tons of garbage pages lately. Yes, Google has all these great features coming out, but it's all too much for me. I liked plain and simple Google. In the future, I see Google taking over as the "new" Microsoft.
On top of all that, I've been having some problems with my Gmail account lately. So, I email the Gmail Team, and about a week later, they send me a generic response. So I email them back, extensively describing my problem. Again, about 5 days later, I get another generic response, asking questions that I answered in my previous email. So by now I'm a little ticked off. I expected a personal response, maybe not giving me a solution to my problem, but at least assuring me that they would look into it. That's what I expected from a company like Google. So anyways, this emailing goes back and forth about 4 times, and I answer their generic questions. Finally, after I emailed them about a week and a half ago I get this response: Quote:
... With that out of the way, I'm looking for a brand new search engine. Not something gay like MSN, Yahoo, Altavista (but I do use it for music searches), Dogpile, etc. I want something brand new, like Google was when it first came out.

RE: Google
Google has become tyrannical. The other search engines should band together to bring them down.
Isn't "google" officially a verb now meaning to search for things on google.com?

Clear your cookies. An old one might be conflicting or something completely random like that.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Google
Well, as of a few days ago, gmail continues to reject my connection. As in I cannot even go to their site. let alone log in. Disappointing.
Yeah, I've cleared cache, cookies, and everything else. REstarted computer, and I think I also restarted my internet connection. Google itself works, though. Makes no sense.

I had my problems logging into my gmail too. So maybe they're just having a little generic trouble, lately. No need to start hating them.

Ever thought that maybe someone got on your account and changed a bunch of configuration settings, including your password?

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Google
Alright, I don't really hate Google. I've just been pissed off the last couple of days, and when I'm pissed off, I get a little (haha, more like extremely) irritant (sp?). So getting that email after a bad day just put me over the edge. I am still annoyed about my account, but I didn't mean to say things like Google is the new Microsoft, and they suck and stuff like that.
