That being said, what do you do when people claim they're transgender without any diagnosis ? If it has to be a legal status, should there be some sort of obligatory tests to prove it ? This would follow my idea that some contexts do require that legal gender statement ofc.

@Funny: Hmm, idk if it would actually help to have set rules for bathrooms, but I believe it would be quite the controversy anyway and I prefer genderless bathrooms because it's just less of a waste of space. Then like I said I wouldn't know how to argue with someone who says that if men can go in women's bathrooms, where no cameras are, then it puts women more at risk of sexual abuse (cuz idk the numbers). The better option is probably defined by the stats, i.e. sexual assaults in existing genderless bathrooms or something along those lines.

in any case if this law passes it means that the federal government won't recognize people who are transgender as the sex they identify as and transgender people won't be protected in terms of transgender cases by law, which means that we can be discriminated against legally (in the united states i mean)

Bathrooms are bathrooms. Who cares? Sure sexual assault could happen, but it could also happen in any bathroom regardless of it being genderless, male, or female. I may disagree with a bunch of stuff transgender people say but I see no wrong with a genderless bathroom. Dumb.

I do feel the same about it. Though from a very preventive pov couldn't someone say that it is more suspect to see a man go in women's bathroom than in genderless bathroom ? Idk I don't think so but maybe there's a point to be made there.
