Still doing my reread & taking notes while keeping up with thread, this strikes me as kinda scummy, I guess it makes sense in the context of being unable to post a lot but I don't like it when people ask others to ask them questions

I don't really see this as scummy personally. It makes sense for someone who hasn't really been around because it's easier to use prompts about specific questions than come up with ideas from a huge pool of information

I decided to very rarely do that because a wolf is better off being cryptic af and if town do the same, people are lost more often than not. Only exception I made was the roundbox thing I was hoping for sanz to pick up.

there's this paper I've cited a few times about human-robot interaction

more or less, the thesis of the paper is that humans tend to distrust intelligent agents that are unable to justify their own actions

but as soon as the intelligent agent rationalizes its own behavior, even if the rationalization is total bullshit, the rapport between the human and the agent grows

for example, if a robot cuts in front of a person in line and says "I cut in front of you because Trump won the election", the human is more likely to trust the robot's judgment even though the explanation makes no fucking sense

I feel that most people in this game are inclined to trust Xiz if he pretends to have hinted at some deeper intentionality behind his actions, even if there is no intentionality there at all

I want to make sure we are not being taken for a ride, and to make sure that there is some accountability for Xiz's actions and behaviors

Why were you hoping that I specifically would pick up on it? There are a few other people in this game that were also in last game I think

It's a meta read. he assumes just because I have a reputation for not posting a lot. The way I see it, many people on FFR who have high TWG post counts clutter the thread with tons of shit posts, jokes, or single points that could be condensed into one post. That's just not my play style and I prefer to contribute when I have something to say *shrug*

if we're at the point where we are talking openly, even vaguely, in the thread... any competent wolf team has it figured out. And the more we talk about things the more they know. that's how I feel about that
