I tried playing FFVII a year or so ago and I don't get the fuss with that one.

X was my first one and I love it so much. My mother and I are playing through FFVII right now together and afterwards I'm playing the PS Remake of X.

I like VII. It isn't the absolute best or anything but I enjoy the characters and setting.

It's hard not to kneejerk either FFX or FFXV right now because I love X and I just finished XV. I know why people don't like XV but none of those complaints bothered me at all.

I totally agree. I'm one of the rare ones who isn't crazy about FFVII. I think FFIV, FFV, and FFVI were all better than FFVII, and FFVIII is actually my fave <3

But you should track down a cheap copy of X it's great and isn't too far off from what the old games where doing

there are really charming things about FF7 imo, but it's more of an "impactful" game, rather than a "good" game, if you catch my drift

i.e. you can thank FF7 for RPGs being so prevalent in the west

6, 4, 10, and Tactics are my faves though personally

Oh, then let me already mention something in regards to FFVII

Whatever you heard on the Internet about it singing it's praise... in the event you start playing it, please dismiss high expectations.

FFVII is pretty fun, don't get me wrong, but please don't expect an amazing experience I guess, lol.
