I played through FFIV and literally quit the game at the beginning of the final dungeon because the random encounters were too hard, so, lol.

Personally, FFX

Loved the story driven aspect of it and the battling system (since you could revolve characters around to plan ahead)

I tried playing FFVII a year or so ago and I don't get the fuss with that one.
