Also, I'm very suspicious of Hakulyte, and feel it necessary to note that he should not be given a free pass every day, or even this day.
At first, I was reading Haku as "being haku" with his d0 wolfslips that have been posted and dismissed repeatedly. These are many and plainly available in his ISO, from his highfive to Charu when Charu mentioned the wolves congratulating him to asking "will a wolf answer this please". I do believe town Haku would also make these posts, but there's a critical aspect of town Haku that is entirely missing here in this game. He's not lost. He's not frustrated. He's not confused. His posts have had exception clarity, and he's dug into people well, in well-articulated posts, using quotes of their own posts as reasoning. These all sound like good, towny traits, but it's not Haku. In other words, he seems like he actually knows who's who, and what's what. While he's tried to change his tone every game we've played, he ultimately reverts back to panicked Haku or fatalistic Haku at some point in D0, when the going gets tough and the pressure is on. There's none of that here, not even a hint of frustration or confusion. Him being this confident is really not a town-tell for Haku, and I think everyone needs to reassess their reads on him when they get a chance.

Actually, you guys don't need to reassess.
Hey Haku, I'm shooting you tonight. Nothing anyone else can say will change my mind in the slightest.

So, you're shooting me for doing my job as town and trying to evolve from my self-destructing meta that usually leads to making me die Day 1.
Great. |

In case you wonder, no I don't know what I'm doing.
I'm fucking lost with all these inactives. I was frustrated as hell at the beginning of Day 2. ..and the only thing saving me from confusion right now is that Precarious has badass read lists that goes hand in hand with that I think. |

I'm shooting you for not being genuine. But hey, if you're being honest then at least you'll be able to say "I was killed because I was too good for this game", and "I was killed because I got too good too fast". Right?

tl;dr: The posting style change is intentional and I started holding back more and went full-fledged detective mode because I wanted to get heavily town-read to get killed by wolves/SK for being "too" town.
..and you're like "I'm going to shoot you". Like fuck you. |

Yeah but that'd normally be a wolftell if you hadn't already said that every game. Calling out a difference in playing is normally a scumtell. Difference is, you're actually drastically different this game.

Yeah, I was here all day all the time and had nothing better to do than working on playing properly because I'm on vacations and have a heavy amount of free time.

I haven't by any means decided to shoot you, but I am suspicious and wanted to test you. I know that's rough, so I'm sorry if I caused any frayed nerves. It is what it is though, this is TWG.

Okay, I'm in a dilemma. I have to leave for work in 20m, but I haven't decided who to kill and I won't have access to my phone today. I'm probably shooting botchi if we don't lynch him today, and maybe DBP otherwise. Juckter's a possiblity as well. Regretfully, so is Haku, but I won't shoot Haku if the vast consensus wills against it. Charu is the only 99% confirmed town at this point, because there hasn't even been a trace of softs all game, so I won't shoot him. The biggest problem is, since I won't have my phone, you guys won't know who I'm picking after I leave, since I'd need to read EoD before deciding and I'll likely get nightkilled tonight. I'd appreciate it, for further info, if everyone could pick their top two shot choices, considering that the top scumread will likely be voted.
Thanks. If this is my last post before RIP, then it's been fun and I hope my shot hits you in the eye, scum.

I understand the issue and I apologize. I've had a lot of IRL stuff going on. I will say though that I find it a bit weird of Backpack to be so inactive/uninterested. The way that he was just sheeping Charu at the end of the day and not expressing any of his own ideas does not seem like his normal play. I think that normally when Backpack is town he tends to probe people a lot more. And makes posts that you can tell have had a lot of thought put into them. This game, it does not appear that Backpack is trying to solve the game very much. Although he does have more posts than I do, a large number of them are just one-line posts that seem to be excuses about a lack of posting. Quote:

Backpack did make the effort to be back for EoD despite being at a party, but it was only so he could sheep Charu's vote. This seems like he was just trying to make the appearance of being active, and not draw heat by not voting or being present. without needing to commit to too much thinking. Sheeping Charu's vote could be an easy way to make it seem like he was voting in the best interest of the town, while actually knowing that he would be helping kill a human. I appreciate the irony in myself pointing some of these things out. However if this were another player I might look at some of these points differently. For Backpack, it seems like his play is a lot less involved than when I have played with him as town in the past. I know this isn't necessarily the strongest argument. But honestly it was the thing that stuck out to me the most while reading the thread. I kept forgetting Pack was even playing, which is very unusual since he normally makes a lot of interesting game-related posts. It's not only the lack of posting but also the nature of the things he has posted that make me suspicious. I'd be totally OK with lynching him today

Precisely my point. I already have a vote on Botchi, but you guys won't know who I shoot because I'll be deciding that after phase ends.

Lol I guess double post is the outcome of adding more text in the lagtime before post but after hitting "submit reply"
