memory card crap

whoa this is by far the worst thing thats ever happened in my gaming life. i was playing metroid prime...it froze....the memory card got corrupted...it had to be formatted
ALL DATA WAS LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i had about 30 hours of metroid prime, some other junk, but the worst by far was F-ZERO GX. if anyone here has f-zero, they know exactly how hard this game is. i had beaten all of story mode, some even on very hard, bought all the cars, all available machine parts, beaten 2 of 4 grand prixs on MASTER MODE! that took me about 50 hours at the very least. AND IT ALL GOT ERASED! wow i dont know when i was ever this mad.

someone make me feel better. say you lost all your data or something.

actually, i also lost my PS2 data after about 30 hours of play. that is nothing compared to this. i have the worst luck ever.

My brother was about to beat Metroid Prime and his data got erased and he had most of the characters on Soul Calibur 2 and it got erased too.

i know but just work hard and don't pull the controller cord or touch the system during gameplay. It's worked 4 me the last 7 months!

i didnt pul out controller or do anything like that... i was kind of screwing around on metroid prime...i shouldnt have been....

but anyway, being the freakishly obsessed gamer that i am, ive played and played, and i have most of the data back. im even doing better in some areas. so it turns out it could have been worse? o well

LOL lost data thats nothing compared to what happened to me...I had the unthinkable happen to me. I let my friend borrow my PS2 (first mistake) and his little brother found one of my friends bongs (second mistake) and his little brother SHOWED IT TO HIS DAD...if you knew my friends dad you would understand why this is the BIGGEST F****** MISTAKE EVER. Well, my friends dad has a really short temper and he comes storming into my friend's room and starts bitching at him. My friend was playing my PS2 and his dad GRABBED THE PS2, RIPPED IT FROM THE CORDS AND EVERYTHING AND THREW IT ACROSS THE HOUSE ONTO THE TILE FLOOR.....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...but this isnt the end of it...oh no...he picks it back up again a THROWS IT AGAN....AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. He threw it twice....TWICE!!!!!!!! what kind of F***ed up kind of person throws a PS2? Well...the good part is this. My friend's dad said "Ha, now you cant play your PS2" my friend replies "Ha, it wasnt mine, it was hund's" Well my PS2 was trashed...I had the modem on it also. BROKE. the PS2 was almost in HALF...plus there was a game in it but it was fine....but had to take the PS2 apart to get it out....

But there is a happy ending to this...they bought a new PS2 for me with a modem and its all fine now

I think the worst thing that happened to me was losing my Phantasy Star Online save a few years back. I had a lvl. 71 hunter, with a load of rare junk, best of all, it was all legal rare junk, and you can't beat that. Anywho, I was saving the game after a long night of playing, and my cat comes along, and steps on the dreamcast power button in the middle of the save. corrupting the whole friggin file..
damned cat.

I was playing Wrestlemania X9 and i created a wrestler, with all custom moves, i tinkered with every appearance thingy, and did all the pyro/lighting effects. it took me like an hour to create it, then i go to take a break. i come back and trip on the gamecube, then lost everything. sad, isnt it?

Hmm, I was almost completly done with F-Zero GX, everything beaten on master, half story mode beaten on VH, the other half on hard, all unlocked cars bought, all parts bought, all items boughts, and about 5 staff ghosts BEATEN (If you've played the game, you know that takes a really long time and a lot of effort). Well, I go and save a replay, and guess what, the replay saves OVER the game data, so I was left with the garage, a cool replay and no game data

I had a corrupt m. card on my gamecube ierased the corrupt data and transferred the rest to a 2nd m. card i lost my melee data but the rest was ok

F-Zero GX isn't hard. It's so fucken easy. ANyways here's mine when I was young.

1. I was playing Pokemon Trading card game ( a lot harder challenge then F zero GX) and worked on it for my whole life. Then, my cousin played the game, saved over it, got screwed, started trash talking, my aunt gave me 80 bucks. ANd finally punched my cousin in the arm the next day

2. Another cousin (a different one) incident, and another POkemon accident. I was minding my buisness. My cousin gave me my game boy back, saying I caught a Spearow ( Big woopee -_- ), and I reconized the ball, it was a Master ball. I was saving that up for Mewtwo. I got pissed off, threatened my cousin. After that I quited that game.

3. I was playing WWF no mercy. I palyed the game every day, almost the whole day. Suddenly, my friend was playing with the power switch. I stopped him. WHen I palyed the game, Everything was erased. ALl teh title belts I've gotten, my secret characters, custom characters. everything. I replayed it, I got it back, with better custom characters and more belts. BUt my survival record didn't beat the erased one -_-.

It doesn't just happen on memory cards but also on my ds. This happened about 3 times to me. When i was playing starwars episode 3 it said "the data is corrupted" and i was like half way through the game and i really wasn't that good at it.
