My interesting day

Today was.. well.. to say the least, interesting. I had some interesting events happen, and it all started when I woke up.

I woke up in pain, with major cramps in my stomach from too much gas. I had to keep running to the bathroom to emit the gas, and get it out of my system. Eventually I had to leave however to go to my orthodontist appointment. Ciara had slept over the previous night, which was so nice.. to just sleep together is amazing. God how I miss it already, knowing I gotta sleep alone tonight =( Anyways, so we left for my orthodontist appointment at about 7:25am. I got there, in quite a bit of pain, but I shrugged it off with jokes and sat through my ortho appointment anyways. After it was over (which was no fun, by the way) the gas in my stomach had built up even more, and I felt like my stomach was going to explode. I was in a lot of pain by this point, and on the car ride home I just gripped the handle on the door as tightly as possible to try and forget about the pain. We got to my house, and I was still in quite a bit of pain. I tried belching to get rid of some of the gas, which worked a bit and the pain subsided slightly. My mom called the hospital because I was in a lot of pain, and Ciara was worrying her butt off about me x.X

This is where things started getting interesting. I went into the hospital, and proceded to the doctor's office. My doctor is Dr. Stopainig. He's.. german or something. Anyways, so he asked me a bunch of questions.. my most recent bowel movement, how I urinated last.. things like that. It was quite funny because he wanted to check my genitalia, and Ciara was in the room at the time.. and she didn't quite hear, so he had to turn around and verify that she heard. She turned a shader pink, and hid behind a curtain in the room as I undressed myself. And then... what I wouldn't expect.. happened. He asked me to turn onto my side, and I wondered what for.. and then well, it hit me. Of course I felt no discomfort from where he applied pressure, but oh man was that uncomfortable. So he diagnosed me with a possibility of appendicitis (for those that don't know it's where your appendix become infected and need to be removed. Your appendix is a useless organ that contains a lot of deadly toxins and if it explodes can be fatal). I headed down to the lab room to get a blood test taken, which was no fun. She asked for my right arm, and tried to draw blood from it but couldn't. She kept pricking the needle into my arm, moving it around in my arm trying to get blood from it.. but couldn't. My arm is a tad sore from that.. so she switched arms and drew blood from that instantly. After she pulled the needle out of my right arm (the first attempt) I got really dizzy and nauseous. I got through it, and did the asked-for urine test. Afterwards I left and went home with my mom and Ciara. I felt pretty crappy at this point, and decided to just take it easy for awhile. Then well.. my stomach slowly started feeling better. As of right now, my stomach is completely fine and I do not have appendicitis. Which is a nice thing to know, because surgery is no fun. My mouth is sore, though.

So yeah. I had an interesting day.

Interesting indeed. Don't let that thing rupture - it'd be a lot worse than dizziness and stripping down in front of your girlfriend.

Did they ever figure out what caused it, or was it all just conjecture? I recently went to the hospital as well with a 103.2 fever, and they never ended up figuring out what it was. Sure, they did ass-loads of tests, and I stayed there for 2 days, and as a result of the spinal tap they gave me (test for meningitis), I ended up with 2 days worth of migraines, keeping me from my first days of college, but they never did figure out what was wrong with me. I'm hoping for your sake that they give you SOME sort of consensus. =/

Then again, I have also had this lovely experience. Back in the 6th grade, I missed 2 straight weeks with a crazy stomach thing that caused me to do nothing but sit in bed in pain for 2 weeks. To the day, nobody knows what was up with my guy and why it hurt for 2 straigh weeks. But, I had a ton of tests, including the lovely proctological exam.

As far as the stripping for the ladies... I hope that wouldn't have been the first time or anything, considering she sleeps over. I wouldn't find it that embarassing. It is a hospital, after all.
