Does anyone else seem to start out strong, and then get progressively worse the more you play a song?

1st time playing Follow You last night: 10 Goods
Several attempts later: 7 Goods + 1 Boo
Now: 20-40 Goods + a few Misses here and there

I won't give up, but it's getting annoying how I just suddenly skill dropped overnight.

When I was playing Rs,Bs I started out around 30g, then went to about 26...

Then 40 plus all day.

As of now, Im getting low 20s, pushing teens if i can fix my accuracy

I just lower the rate and start building up again every now and then. Try some other maps and come back. I just fall apart the moment I start thinking "Hey I'm near the end, I might actually get th- miss, miss, miss..."

Good advice, I'll definitely try that. I've even tried small things like playing in a different position, using a different keyboard, changing my key layout, readjusting the judge offset, changing scroll speed, ect and non of it seemed to help much. I want to get ahead now and practice as much as I can, but maybe I've just been overdoing it lol.

Oh man. This is totally me. My first play is still my best play. And it's not even that great of a score.

Sometimes the sightread is the best play because after the initial sightread, on all subsequent plays you start to think about what's coming up ahead rather than focusing on only the current part of the song

So you're basically the most focused during your sightread

The key is getting back to that level of focus when you're familiar and prepared for the song

D7 song is so fun, but so rough haha. I've had a couple runs where i hold 1-2g to 70% of the file and had one run where i held the AAA'd to just a little past 50%..But the common theme is my nerves kicking in and i'll get destroyed on the weird alternating jacks into the wall :') I'll play a bit later and hope for that luck run
