I don't think funny function is quite that high in the FMO area imo, but definitely want to hear other's input on it.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
61/62 sounds and feels about right for RS,BS... trills are fast, for me at least, the transitions are kinda weird, or could be that I sucks the D at jump/hands in this kinda pattern.
Fun file, I will say. Just challenging enough that I will probably grind all night, until I hit a plateau and nothing improves.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
After playing it a few more times, I reconsider to 73. I may be able to AAA it with enough grinding. 2-0-0-4 is my best score now.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
The hard part about Funny Function isn't the minijacks. That part is somewhere between Intersect Thunderbolt and Honki Sentai Majirenja. The part that will really tank your score is the bit at the end. Not as hard as The Simpsons or Haelequin, but definitely very hard to stay on top of.
I'd compare it to Cinnamon Roll in terms of general trickiness, but it's a tad slower than that and with less 24th/32nd shenanigans. Gravity Blast has a similar 32nd wall that's intended to be jumptrilled, so let's go with 70 for now? |

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
I'd put carnaval at 78 max, although I think it's lower
but powerpoints is 79 and if it's a scarhand unlock then carnaval probably should be too |

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
No offense, uh. But you sure you didn't get the wrong files for d3 and d4? I don't get it. Overall, the d4 file seems easier to me. Then again I've got a shit score on both, and if enough people play, I'm probably out round 1, because I can't even touch my top score, and it's not even a FC. Tough luck.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
D4's file is in no way easier than D3's file
I guess D6 is my screw up file for this round. We had it at an 80, when other people looked over the difficulty for us we were getting 79/80 for it so I stuck with it. |

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
Pink Cloud - Fun, I enjoyed a lot. 10/10 would play again, but AAAd, so doubtful haha
Insignia - THIS is the kinda file I enjoy to play, this music is wonderful. Great file, and enough to make me goof and get 2-0-0-1 XD Will play again for AAA, and maybe more after that. Much fun. Follow You - Have fun D3.... All I gotta say lol

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
I dunno. The BPM feels far faster. The arrows felt faster. The jump stream is easier. How is d4 harder? It even shows in my score that d4 is slightly easier.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
D6 is fine at 79, mayybe 80. I wouldn't really go +/- more than like, 1 with it.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
WOW D7 is brutal!! I'd definitely put the round 1 song at mid-high 90 and potentially 91, especially in terms of AAAability, with some of the weird patterns. I'm a little tipsy, and a lot rusty, but I've definitely packed up and moved to Strugglesville, USA cause this is ROUGH...
and I couldn't be more pleased. |

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
D3's file is faster but has minimal to no layering with the very exception of the end, whereas D4's file is layered heavily from start to finish (including some rather intrusive triples), has some bursts that breach ~16 notes per second in single taps, has trills + jumps -- D4's file is in a completely different league compared to D3, lol

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
Your score doesn't mean anything for the difficulty. Man if I rated things based on how I did on them. Powerpoints would be an FMO, fast asleep and undiscovered colors would be like 63s

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Files
The one trill in the d3 file breaks my combo every time. The others, even though they're faster, don't, because they're not one handed. The jumpstream is slightly harder, but overall the speed is slower, so it seems far more doable. So no, you're going to have to say more, because I'm not convinced. The 32nd note bursts are easier than the patterns at the end of d3 if you as me.
Edit: I suppose I see your point there TC. I just don't get it. I might as well be in D4 then, since it's the easier file. I'm not going to last more than two rounds regardless of where I am. For me, the patterns in D4's file is just easier because it's slowed down. I don't think the patterns make up for the speed difference. Last edited by Xenorosth; 06-25-2016 at 01:50 AM.. |

The file gives me 15-25 goods, on the trills section to the end alone. And just because OHTs are harder for you than THTs, doesn't mean much.

You might not be convinced, but the fact is that the difficulty is what it is. Players are (correctly) recognizing that it's something that should at least be in the ballpark of 60. Your skill set is not exempt from following objectivity.

Also, I think that Carnaval is 80 and D6 is crazy.
