MuvLuv definitely got more tolerable after I wore off the initial shock of it being full on harem mode (seriously the part where they spill the beans on Meiya waking in bed with him at school made me want to walk away)
That paired with that weird as fuck Marimo scene with the physics teacher was pretty jarring
