Stepmania Rivalries Thread

i just made a post that's a decent starting point for this i guess
i seem to wreck lots of dudes on MA but not on speed/stamina (with choof it's the opposite for stamina and MA somehow)

y'know, this would probably be more interesting/active if we came up with some set of files to try playing then compared them to figure out rivalries
with mostly unique "favorite scores" right now everyone's just gonna say "NO IM DIFFERENT" and ignore any similarities between them

That's a good idea!

Ultimately, I want to present this to the SM developers as an option to include in the game. My original idea is to have a "rival" setting in the game where you can input the name of a rival/competitor, and whenever you played a song, their best score would show up as the second players score, making it easy to compare the two. ie: if I played a song, and Zenith was my rival, I would play the song as normal but at the results screen both player sides would display a score - my current, and Zeniths best.

If people want me to, I can change the OP to include a set of requested songs?

I'm really open to anything here, I'm excited to see where we can take the rivalry idea.

I would be open to having someone create said sets so players can begin doing said sets and finding a rival would be that much easier. It would also help to be diverse and also getting packs we don't currently have (because I know I don't have certain packs).

i could probably rival with zenith since my redefine is on par with his; i challenge him to try the shit i did today
i'd have to put some serious work in speed wise to catch up to choof but our scores align oddly enough that i can trash him on some but not all slower stuff

Also, I'm going to give lurkers idea a go and make a list of songs for some rivalries! I think the best way to do this would be to make a list of 10ish songs with a variety of difficulties and patterns, and if anyone is interested they can post scores for those songs for comparison.

Please feel free to post a selection of songs! It looks like I could already pick some like Ripcord, Grief and Malice, Future Invasion, dr1, etc. However, I will need more ideas for those players better than I (eg: all of you)

No one has posted anything around my skill level yet, so I'll just continue to play and hopefully get up there soon lmfao

You have far better MA than me but from "the shit i did today" I see a few that I could easily get lower.

I also miss a lot and the affliction may be present on SM as it does on fiffer

in the huge session i had a few days later i beat your redefine 1.1 really badly but i don't think i can touch dr1 1.2
this post was really nasty but i can't stay at that level consistently
