It's a Red Octane Soft Pad + Cover. It's nicer than the other 2 soft pads I've played on. It's heavy for a soft pad so it won't scoot much, and the sensitivity is nice. Not once have I gotten a miss when I stepped on the right pad.

The pad is $40. The cover (which prevents bunching of the pad) is $15. You can buy the pad + cover + copy of DDRMax for PS2 for $90, which is what I did.

As for reliability, a really good DDR player (he was getting A's on 9- and 10-foot heavy songs) I was speaking to said they're very durable and reliable.
