Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
lmao.
In all honesty, I seriously doubt Rapta would knowingly use an exploit to "cheat", especially seeing as he openly admitted to using it rather than just staying quiet about it, so I don't think it should be looked at as him trying to cheat or anything along those lines. If you've talked to him lately you should know he's been having that issue with his keyboard, so naturally he'd look for something else to correct the problem other than just constantly replacing it every 2 weeks. Trying to adjust hardware faults != illegitimately trying to gain a competitive edge over someone. but whatever..2 cents and whatnot

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
there's no cheating going on he's using software to prevent superhuman minijacking inputs in a game that doesn't require superhuman minijacking
i still don't want him to beat me

http://www.memory4less.com/m4l_itemd...B-00003&rid=26 That's the best keyboard. Fortunately with a Microsoft employee father I have mine for free. But its a totally sick keyboard for this game. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Side.../dp/B001DWI4FM Theyre used on amazon for only 50! lmao still so much Also I will update scores soon...but I can't atm Last edited by IwasAsquidOnce; 06-16-2015 at 11:30 PM.. |

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
You don't necessarily have to have a "top line" or "exceptional" keyboard to improve or play at your current skill level.
I literally play with a $9 keyboard, and still continue to climb because the keyboard is only an input device of what I'm capable of doing as a player; not the other way around. Sure having a decent or top brand keyboard will help you with learning how to properly apply muscle knowledge and mechanic technique when playing, but it isn't a Pay to Win situation as some may believe. /2cents about keyboards

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
I've always played on my laptop with its shitty kb and it's worked for me. But some keyboards have issues so it's different for some.

When I was in D5, I was using an Apple iBook G4 to play. Dinosaurs looked at it and went "damn you old" and yes it was a laptop. I started peaking in skill on that laptop using its keyboard (which had two dead keys where my setup was located) which bumped me up to D6. The 10th Official started and I still used the same setup, further increasing my skill up until the last round when the laptop officially died and I could no longer play. Since then, I was D6, now using a desktop (Emachine old and bad desktop lmao) with this $9 keyboard. I am now peaking up to reaching past the minimal border for D7 (87 missflag hrnggg) but I am also experiencing issues with my keyboard; such as not being able to properly input tight patterns which results in a miss because it never recognized the faster input. What I am trying to say is that yes, every piece of hardware has pros and cons to it and it is constantly demonstrated on FFR (some players use unusual setups and PC builds). Before you blame or head towards an issue about keyboards, find out if it is you as a player or the keyboard itself and work from there~

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
Everytime I switched to a new keyboard I typically skillboosted a division... just sayin (not right away of course but once I got comfortable enough with it)

Re: Squid and Puppy's Summer Vanilla Tourney
I do want this fixxed badly. Do your keyboards cause you to have to replay a song constantly because of its faults? Three days of grinding doppel and my keyboard never let me get past 1 x x 2 , but when the bs was stopped by the program, it took two tries.. I don't mind it at all when trying to just improve, but its so flipping hard for me to AAA anything when I easily could AAA many things and that is frustrating. Last OT I even got accused of cheating BECAUSE of my keyboard giving me boos averages and goods (called 0 framers)!
