I mean you could just go without passes, but then you basically can't check out anything at the congress centre itself (dealers, rave, shows, etc.) and any hotel panels/events—that's basically what the pass entitles.

^ And seriously, there's more fun to be had with the FFR crew than haggling with dealers or talking about hentai with strangers. But that's just my opinion :P
