You know, this is kind of weird and counter-intuitive, but something just occurred to me:

Maybe saving players from phantoms like that isn't a good move after all.

Sonic was completely useless. Marth is completely useless. If we hadn't instaed multiple phases now, we wouldn't have needed to spend any lynches on them to cardflip them - we could have just had them modkilled.

Conversely, wolves have been culling an active townie every night for a while now. Because we lynched Sonic instead of just letting him rot out of the game, wolves get to take another active player out of the pool for free.

We still have a massive lead. Maybe we should just let our inactives get modkilled and not spend lynches on the players who haven't posted in weeks.

I mean, this is going to make me sound dumb if Sonic turns out to be a red, but I feel like he's just a human who ditched. Guess we're about to find out!

The only real game state that's a problem is if people have 1.1 phantoms while wolves are close enough to humans in numbers to take advantage of that in a vote. But we're nowhere near that. 10/2 or something after tonight's wolfing, if my gut's right about Sonic? Maybe we should make a point of not instaing the next few days and get Marth out of the player pool for free.

I was kind of alarmed earlier in the night where it looked like a ton of players were going to get phantoms if we didn't insta, but in the end it really was just Marth and Sonic.

How does Yoshi know Pikachu is middie? Unless I'm misinterpreting whom he's referring to, but Pikachu's the only one to have posted a gif from where those quotes were.

Unless I missed Pikachu publicly cluing into his identity, the only way Yoshi would know Pikachu's identity with confidence would be if Pikachu told him in private (i.e. wolf convo).
