I noticed on beethoven virus, I was getting goods when I should've been getting perfects. Either that or it converted wrong which could be a problem for a lot of songs.

ive found that to be a problem too, actually a couple times in virus, i'd get an average (because i suck) it would bump up my combo by one, and then say miss for that same arrow, what the hell is that

They already said they tweaked the FFR convertor, so I expect that they will redo the stepfiles for all the songs and get them corrected.

ive noticed when your really getting a nice pointage in levels, then game tends to freeze up or start lagging...like last night...i was playing hip hop lvl 5 and i was doing amazing on it the way i was going i would be at least like 4-5 place then near the end..it started lagging and i was getting goods, turned out at the end i moved up 2 spots from my previous spot...

I've been getting the same problems in BV. If you hit it perfect you'll get goods or averages over perfects. Just something that has to get fixed up to make the game AMAZING'er then it is

Well...whatever they did, it seems easier to get perfect hits now. But, i still find myself getting mostly good's, which should be perfects.

If you have any problems where FFR freaks out on you, make sure you get the Flash 7 Beta player.. besides being much better than the current player it will also run FFR 15-40% faster on the same machine
http://www.macromedia.com/software/f...r/public_beta/ It is not any easier to get perfects or whatever.. that type of timing has not changed at all. You also have to realize that getting a perfect on FFR is not the same thing as getting a perfect in stepmania.. You basically have a slice of time (1/30th of a second) to hit the key and get a perfect. Btw... can anyone show me a repeatable error in BV and let me know exactly what # arrow is giving you problems? I need to know an exact number before I can even begin to troubleshoot. Cheers, Synthlight |

Synth, I'm aware. Reach and I can get nearly all marvelous on songs, and marvelous is a 22nd of a second or so. It's not that perfect is harder to get. We know this. Marvelous is harder to get than perfect and on SM we still can get mostly marvelous.
Infact here's the exact timing ratings: JudgeWindowBooSeconds=0.180000 JudgeWindowGoodSeconds=0.135000 JudgeWindowGreatSeconds=0.090000 JudgeWindowMarvelousSeconds=0.022500 JudgeWindowOKSeconds=0.250000 JudgeWindowPerfectSeconds=0.045000 JudgeWindowScale=1.000000 |

Arch, you and I both know that DDR and FFR handle timings differently.
DDR timing = time before the step, and some fraction after the step. FFR timing = time total before and after the step thus: FFR perfect = .033s total and DDR marvelous= ~.038-.040s total. I'm suprised you havent noticed this before, with your godly timing and all. P.S. I wasnt being sarcastic, but it came out that way. Yay.

It doesn't matter. I don't visually time it. I start on the first note then go from there by how the songs rhythm is going. Incase you don't know I play IIDX and the timing on that is a HELL OF A LOT STRICTER than FFR and DDR and SM and DWI
And yet I can do this on IIDX (the great at the top is like marvelous on ddr but alot stricter) ![]() |

I for one, want to know how FFR handles timings. is it based on where the arrow is on the screen?

Anyways, I would like synth to take consideration into redoing the timing system on FFR.
