Are people actually GOOD at DDR where you live?

I'm the average DDR player, perhaps a little below average, although I've only been playing for roughly two months. I can get a B on standard 7-footers, but I certainly could improve my gracefulness, if that's even possible on DDR. Darn 1/8-beat arrows. *stomps foot*

Many of my friends can play on heavy, and a few of them are worse than me. I've only visited the arcade once, which was the first time I played DDR, but I didn't wait around for my turn, so I didn't see any of the other players perform. There wasn't a crowd surrounding them, nor did I have to wait long to spend $3 again, so I was assuming they weren't very good, although I could be mistaken.
