Also, couldn't FFR permissions also be used for this kind of project? I know the permissions I specifically got (AKHT, dBu, Oster Project, DM Ashura among them) were for the usage of their songs for notecharting for "a rhythm based game" and not specifically for FFR, which they still agreed to. Technically at least my permissions would work for anything related to rhythm gaming as long as there was to be no sale of the music being used.

I'll also volunteer to judge/whatever if you need it. Just let me know what you need

for a free stepmania pack, the organizers could do anything with the music, including using music from the billboard top 20 lol. I think the point is to get approval from music artists for this specific use, just to be as legit as possible. it's also a nice way of promoting our currently active "in-house" music peeps instead of falling back on some of the oldest stepping tropes out there.

If you want, I could do the stalking around for permissions thing on ocremix, furaffinity and whatnot. Also, when I mentioned resteps, I was talking about songs I had permission to step for the stepmixes, as well as stepmix submissions.

And if CC stuff is allowed, we probably should try to sneak in a bof song to pander to the preexisting fans.
