But it was portrayed as if a single Canadian was having to pay extremely elevated prices to ship these out one by one. The intent of the post was to point out a common sense solution in the event that there was a large number of US coins to ship. Sending the tokens to be distributed within the US is a less favorable option. For example, there are approximately 50 of 90 tokens being shipped to the US:

50 tokens @ $1.80/stamp via. Canada Post to US = $90 CDN

6 lbs. parcel shipped to nearest US event staff member = $50 CDN, plus..
50 tokens @ $0.91/stamp via. USPS within US = ...an additional $45 US, inconvenience for everyone involved, and expect delays. Even if my numbers are a bit off, I am convinced that Canada Post is the best option.

edit: On this note, I will be sending out all 90 tokens this week!

Yes. I have 100 tokens in total. The remaining 10 tokens are reserved for anything from spontaneous contest rewards, to door prizes for the upcoming official tournament.
