Oh, come on! None of you would like the idea of combining DDR with ultra violence? Sure, it won't have a good plot, or interesting characters, but it's the shock effect of when the villan's face smashes into the game screen that counts, right?

Further thought: I realized that this cannot be done without a huge amount of money. Maybe a manga, perhaps? Comics seem to be more tolerant of violence than the TV or silver screen.

You know how at the end of all the skate/bmx/wtf videos they have bails, well we should do that for ddr. Punch people in the face while they FC psmo, get racked trying to bar hop, try to do a backflip and break your back, et cetera.

That would be genius. But, who will you get to FC PSMO and backflip? I'll be the guy who punches the person...

I think it's about scores, though I am told that unless your scores kick ass, which mine most definitely don't, go for freestyle. Things like hopping on both feet to hit eighth streams, maybe do some handplants ITG-style...but honestly, what else can you do on a pad and still pull off at least average scores? That's why my brother is against ever playing DDR. He says the pad restricts your options for dancing, which I used to think was a big fat load of bullcrap (I KNOW he has the ability, but will he learn to read well enough to pass on his first song if, by some miraculous alignment of the planets, I get him onto a machine?), but now that I think about the showmanship qualities of DDR, I realize that just like chess, it takes someone who's gone to the trouble of learning how to play to appreciate how a master practices the very same art when it comes to DDR.

There was that one poker movie that came out awhile ago, and I heard that was pretty good, so I guess the possibility is there, but there's so many failures at this type of thing before that the chances are verrry low of this being any good.
Then again if Quinten Tarantino did it it would ROXXORS!!!! That man can make any movie 1000000x better.

Hey theres was actually a ddr tv show not a movie...but it was 5 years ago in the philippines. its only one hour and an episode from "wansapanatym"..anyways its about a boy who likes playin ddr and never giving up to be the best...but then his brother is like mean that he actually broke his ddr games n pad so he got mad but he still kept playin..i forgot!!! it was 5 yrs ago but its sumthin like that

0.0 a ddr movie? a ddr game wouldnt interest me. i would just skip it and watch the old common chick flick =) but sure thats not a bad idea. a few movies has ddr in it but not based on the whole game. it would be cool to have that happen. it kinda of like advertising ddr! lol that will give them some bussiness XD

The thing about that? It's not possible. And even if it was, nobody's accomplished that yet. MEANING, if they were to put that in a movie, it would obviously be fake/rigged. Just that alone would make like 80% of the people go "pfft this is crap."

My friend's dad is a director. When you manage to freestyle EVERY song + stealth, on heavy/oni, and AAA it, I'll ask him to cast you or something

Show a guy jump doing a ful split down onto a DDR machine legs to each panel, then bringing his hands on the center ones.
Screen sides to two guys. "What are you trying to be?" *Show random DDR stepper* *music constantly playing* "Trying to be a dancer or something?" *show random DDR steps* "No." *music stops* "I am a dancer."
Continue showing main character playing DDR against someone not shifting the screen. "I'm going to work at this. I'm going to learn this. I'm going step to this. And I will win this."
