Darn, I'll be leaving Maryland the week before you arrive. However, if you get the job I may also be in Maryland this summer (semi-close to Ft Meade). It depends on how my summer internship plans work out.
Awwww shucks Well, I guess if we're both lucky, we could hang out a bit during the summer

Awesome job dude! What is your major btw?
Thank you! I'm a double major in math and computer science, although I am still quite clueless on what I want to do later in life...
Thanks! Yeah, I'm hoping the interview goes well, I'm kinda nervous! >.< Although first, I have to jump through a million hoops in order to get the proper security clearances, heheh.
If you don't have any blemishes on your credit, or if you haven't established credit, you'll recieve an interim security clearance. The real clearance (I'm assuming TS) will come after you start working. If they tell you that they're actively persuing a clearance, that's a good indication that you're being selected. Clearances are not cheap lmao.
mfw reactiving my clearance will cost my employer thousands

I'm from MD but sadly I'll be back in school by then, but plenty of things to do in Baltimore though !! (like getting shot !!) (only kind of kidding)
Thanks! Both of the JMM presentation and the NSA interview are huge opportunities for me, above and beyond the opportunities I've had previously. To be honest, I applied for the NSA position for shits and giggles thinking I would never even hear back from them but I figured "why not?" because there was nothing to lose in applying. So you can imagine the number of bricks I shit upon receiving an email from them xD
As for the things to do in Maryland, you'll have to tell me more later when the time comes, especially on how to not get shot!
Ok, just booked my flight, hotel, and registration.
I'll be arriving exactly at 7:09 PM on the 14th of January and departing at exactly 5:13pm on the 19th. I have yet to develop an exact itinerary so I don't know at which points I'm going to be available, but I figured I'd at least give you guys the start/end times for those that want to hangout/meetup (^)>
Woah nice :O Congrats on both things. Funny coincidence since I just got an email this morning inviting me to speak at some international conference on computer graphics and media design, though no way am I going to do it since I'm horrible at public speaking and nowhere near experienced enough lol.

this is the kind of information you don't put up on the public internet when you're interviewing for the NSA as a mathematician for a potential job that requires a TS/SCI clearance u fuccen idiot

u rly can't figure out that posting an intinerary for an individual that is using public transportation to an event that requires strict gov't control is not a good idea ?
it's for security....do u post your exact hotel room # out in the open? it takes 45 seconds to pull up flight.com or something nd know exactly what airlines he's going to take that arrives and departs at the aforementioned times and even gave the exact destinations

National Security Agency or sumthing lol......................................................................................................................................
the good news about this is that it's actually highly prestigious to work for the NSa (#1 employer of mathematicians) and you have the potential to retire in 10 years gg
Lol, my trip in Janurary is for my presentation at the JMM, not my NSA interview haha. Sorry for the confusion. I've been sure to read all the pages of fine print the NSA gives me so that I can properly abide by all of their policies.
Anyways, yeah, I'm aware of how prestigious it is to work for the NSA. So even though it would just be a summer gig kinda thing, I'm still going to be super stoked if the interview goes well and I get the position
