Don't be discouraged. It is generally very rare for undergraduates to land a career for the NSA. You will have better chances when you get a graduate degree. You are very fortunate to even be considered by the NSA, so consider that an honor Keep up the good work with your math studies and continue to pursue what makes you happy

Well, if I got it, it would only be a summer internship (as opposed to some full-time position). Even then though, you're right, and I am very pleased with myself that I was able to make it as far as I did in the application process. Hopefully, if I keep things up, I can try again next year. Also, there's still the opportunity that I might be able to do something else this summer so not all is lost
