Weed can perpetuate symptoms that manifest in anxiety and the like. It can decrease the threshold of holding to rational thinking (there's prolly a better way to word that) which in some people, makes them way more creative/able to think outside the box, and for some people it takes their mind down a dark road where irrational fears feel plausible. Paranoia obvs being a part of that, because its what the anxiety manifests in.

If you approach weed slowly (if you're the type of person it can be intense for, I am one of those people too, and have had MANY encounters with horrible anxiety/panic/paranoia on it) you can get a better understanding of what its doing to your mind, and to at least be able to have a means of accepting what's going on/letting go of a lot of things on your mind cuz its just in a different place. Ya high.
